Description
The BLX series bodypack transmitter works with lavalier and headset microphones, and also works for guitar with the appropriate cable connector. The beltpack features an On/Off hard toggle switch, preferring to eliminate the multi-function push button that is used on some wireless transmitters. Many users found the multi-function single button to be inconvenient and unreliable. The BLX4R receiver includes all of the hardware you need to install this system into a road rack. It is a true diversity two-antenna system with channel scan and XLR and 1/4" outputs.

- Omnidirectional polar pattern
- CommShield Technology guards against interference

Church liked them so much they wanted more
I was working with a church that needed to replace their current wireless headset system that they were using for their pastor's mics. I spent a fair amount of time researching to see if I could get just the body pack and receiver so that we could use a Countryman mic. Unable to find such a combination, I decided to try the BLX14R/MX53, figuring that if the church didn't like it, it was a good price for the receiver and transmitter, and we could just keep the mic as a spare and replace it with a countryman. But the church loved the mic itself and now wants to order more of them. They are a bit unique to EQ, and potentially a bit more susceptible to feedback than some Countryman mics, but the pastor is able to walk under and in front of the mains with no issues.

Shure BLX14R/153 Review
Great sound but VERY fragile. Lasted two events. Headset mics are ten times better than laveliers for conference speakers. However, they are so brittle. Get a Countryman or DPA with your Shure or Sennheiser base and take GOOD care of them. Watch em like a hawk. Remember, most speakers are NOT seasoned mic users, they wander in front of speakers, they fiddle, and they fondle the mic. Get a DPA or Countryman.

I've only used this mic for 4 live events and on the 4th event the mic wire inside the silicone elbow snapped and I then filed a claim in order to get some sort solution to this, especially cause it's not even a year old yet and I've been denied I don't understand why I paid for the extra coverage if they still won't cover it on a brand new item.

I was a bit nervous to buy a used microphone system, but this Shure kit came with everything and looked basically unused!

What Ian the difference between the bands?
The different bands are for if you're using more than one unit at a time. This is so they don't cancel each other out.
