Changing Edge Blades is an easy way to keep your performances fresh and complement your band's aesthetic.

The AX Edge's sound set is tailored specifically for keytar performance. Onboard sounds like edgy leads, fat basses and retro keyboard tones are optimized to cut through live mixes. Dedicated sound selection buttons provide instant access to your favorites. Connect the AX Edge to the editor app via Bluetooth MIDI to customize sounds, and program splits and layers.

When I play a solo gig I prefer to have a full keyboard with rhythms and split keyboard. This Keytar is great for soloing in a band setting.

Extremely versatile. Love that there are enough keys to allow me to play bass notes and leads simultaneously. Even allows you to play some classical runs easily which has been really satisfying to pull out in solos. I couldn't be happier with it.
Well, this key tar is great, BUT...

I'm still wondering why I got a USED Keytar when there's no sign of it being used either on the product description, or in my order description. I'm kinda disappointed since it didn't come with the second blade panel and the ferrite core. This is the second time I feel cheated when buying online from Guitar Center. Shame.
This is the Keytar to get!

This is the Keytar to get. Runs on batteries, sounds are awesome, and now with Vocoder! I had the very first generation red MIDI-only AX-1 back in the '90s. I missed my chance to acquire the AX-Synth last decade and had to borrow my friend's AX-Synth many times over the past few years. Now that the AX-Edge comes out, my wait is over and I finally got one!

Will i need a cord and an amp for this? I dont believe it has a speaker on it, so i'm pretty sure i'll have to buy an amp or small speaker to use.
Yes, you will. You have the option of an amp or powered speakers. Powered speakers would be my suggestion.submitted2 years ago

Are there any built in speakers, or would I need an Amp to actually play? If I need an Amp, what's the best one to get?
This does not have built in speaker and you would need a keyboard or PA speaker to amplify the keytar.
