This guitar projects well, is intoned well, stays in tune, truss rod works, plays pretty well even in the higher register, the guitar even looks pretty good. I've owned and played resonators before and paid very high prices for them. The tones of all metal axes didn't sit well with me, the wood bodied versions, like this one suit me much better. Frankly, I normally wouldn't even consider a guitar in this low of a price range, picked this one up instinctively, and appreciated it's good qualities immediately. Had to install a strap button at the neck heel, some folks don't use them, I do. Surprisingly good rezzo.

I was comparing this to a gretch boxcar but landed with this instead sure the Gretch is prettier but this has that classic bluegrass dobro ringing woody tone the gretch didn't have! Best choice for the money by far! I use it for flat picking and it's a blast love it!

I have always wanted to learn Blues Guitar and like to play Bluegrass Music, so I decided to buy a round neck resonator guitar. It's great sounding and is well made. I am very pleased with my purchase!
Disappointed.

Wanted a decent resonator to add to my sonic choices. Have owned a Gretsch in the past which wasn't a bad guitar but I couldn't get used to the neck. I don't care for the V profile. This guitar has a comfort neck and an ok fit and finish. The frets were smooth and polished. I had to clean them up on the Gretsch. The disappointment with this guitar is the intonation. Noticeably out past the 5th fret. Way sharp by the 12th fret. Too bad. It would have been a keeper at the sale price. The hard case didn't arrive at the same time so I can't comment on that but it will be returned as will this guitar. If you're looking for a resonator guitar that won't break the bank, look at something else. This is NOT a good one.
