Description
RCF's HDL 6-A is a revolutionary powered line array speaker that bridges the gap between portability and power. Featuring a built-in 1400W amplifier, the HDL 6-A pumps pure sound through dual 6" neodymium woofers and a 1" neodymium tweeter. RCF's custom-designed waveguide provides pinpoint 100x10-degree coverage, resulting in stunning vocal clarity and definition. Advanced FiRPHASE DSP processing includes a crossover, phase correction, limiting and speaker protection. Despite its formidable power, the HDL 6-A weighs under 30 lb. and includes rear handles for easy transport. The HDL 6-A is available from select retailers for live sound professionals seeking a high-powered yet portable line array solution.
1400W Amplifier Delivers High Performance in a Compact Cabinet
The HDL 6-A's robust Class D amplifier provides 1400W of power, enabling high sound pressure levels in a space-efficient cabinet. The amplifier's ultra-fast response and ample headroom result in tight, punchy bass, realistic transient response and a sense of openness regardless of volume. The built-in DSP applies precisely tuned electronic crossovers, phase alignment, limiting and protection to optimize the HDL 6-A's performance.
Custom Waveguide Provides Pinpoint Coverage and Vocal Clarity
RCF designed the HDL 6-A's waveguide to provide a tight 100x10-degree coverage pattern, resulting in focused, consistent high-frequency dispersion. The waveguide's wide aperture and custom contour optimize vocal intelligibility, enabling the HDL 6-A to deliver clear, natural vocal reproduction even at a distance. The waveguide works in concert with the tweeter's large 1.7" voice coil, which helps maintain signal integrity.
Dual Woofers Deliver Solid Low-End Foundation
The HDL 6-A features two high-power 6" neodymium woofers to provide a solid low-frequency foundation. With a frequency response down to 65Hz, the woofers capably handle kick drums, bass guitars and synth bass. The woofers' stiff, lightweight cones and powerful motor systems enable fast, accurate transients.
Road-Ready Yet Compact and Portable
Its tour-grade plywood enclosure and durable steel grille can withstand the rigors of frequent live use. Integrated rear handles provide a secure grip and the HDL 6-A can be flown in arrays using optional accessories. With its formidable sound, portable form factor and robust build, the HDL 6-A delivers a compelling solution for live sound professionals and musicians on the go.
