Pearl's all-new Vision Birch Shell Pack is their most affordable 100% Birch shell pack. Ideal for live performance or studio work, Birch provides a balanced tone with low-end projection to match that of the high frequencies produced by smaller drums. Like all Pearl drums, these 6-ply, 7.5mm tom and kick shells feature the SST construction process which includes extreme heat, precision-cut scarf joints, proprietary Acoustiglue and over 1000lb. of hydraulic pressure.

To ensure these the drums have a firm, but flexible foundation, this kit includes two Uni-Lock tom arms and Reference-Look bridge lugs, floor tom legs and brackets. Additionally, each comes equipped with dual-ply drumheads right out of the box.

    Take note that this drumset doesn't come with the any symbols, hi-hat, hardware, or throne. The good thing with that is that you can hand pick those items yourself, as additional purchases, for personal customization. The drumset is very beautiful and good quality. I'd personally recommend for all levels except for the complete pro. The heads aren't the best and have a heavy overtone (but definitely good enough for continual practice) However, with small overtone mufflers it's sounds acceptable. Id personally recommend replacing the heads with a higher quality brand before gigging at your venue. Check out the many YouTube postings on drum heads, tuning, and proper overtone muffling. I did not give 5 star revue only because the heads aren't the best.
