PDP Concept Series Maple Exotic Walnut - Tony Taylor, Jr.

PDP by DW

collapse expand iconDescription

Drum Workshop has become synonymous with custom exotic finishes, while at the same time, PDP Concept Series™ drums have provided drummers with the user-friendly features and build-quality that had previously been reserved for much more expensive boutique sets. The Concept Maple Exotics deliver on both of these promises in a big way. Offered in a 5-piece F.A.S.T. configuration, these all-maple shells are finished in a rich walnut veneer with glossy charcoal burst lacquer.

Add to that high-end features like STM (Suspension Tom Mounts), True Pitch tension rods, MAG throw-off, die cast low-mass claw hooks, proportionate counter hoops and durable lacquer finishes, and you have a kit that unquestionably honors its DW roots. Mounting hardware for the rack toms is also included in the shell pack.

Cymbals and hardware sold separately.

After a year of use this kit is as much of a beast as my DW or my Tama B/B kits. I have made some customizations as you see.

Its a year since I received this set. I can't say enough about it. I just changed the heads to the Remo color sound heads (black smoke). OMG they sound great.. I just purchase the 8inch Tom. This is a versatile kit I actually sold my 5pc DW kit and kept this one that's how much confidence in this kit.. I have other people that are surprised in the look and the sound. Awesome job with this one PDP..

I JUST PURCHASE THIS KIT A MONTH AGO,OMG THIS IS A SWEET KIT. I HAVE A DW KIT AND I PUT THE SAME HEAD ON IT THAT I DID ON MY DW DRUMS AND TRUST ME YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM . I WISH THIS KIT WAS OUT BEFORE I SPENT 3GRAND ON MY DW.. HONESTLY BEST VALUE FOR THE MONEY A PROFESSIONAL SOUND FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. IF YOU NEED A PRO SOUND BUT DONT HAVE THE PRO MONEY AND WANT A SET THAT LOOKS GOOD TOO THEN YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS KIT..
