Description
The MXR M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay pedal delivers lush, analog echoes with an intuitive tap tempo feature for dialing in perfect delay times on the fly. Based on the beloved MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay, the Deluxe version provides greater sonic versatility and control. With up to 1.2s of delay time, this pedal serves up everything from subtle repeats to ambient washes of sound, all with the warmth and character of analog circuitry. Adjust the delay level and repeats to suit your needs, from a single, melodic echo to cascading walls of sound. The tap tempo footswitch lets you tap in the exact delay time you want for syncing echoes to the beat. A bright switch tailors the tone to cut through when needed. The M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay is a must for any guitarist seeking vintage style delay with modern performance capabilities.
Lush Analog Delay Tones, Optimized for the Stage
The M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay delivers the sought-after warmth of analog delay in a pedal designed for live performance. With delay times ranging up to 1.2s, you can achieve subtle ambiance or dense soundscapes. The tap tempo footswitch provides an intuitive way to dial in the perfect delay time for syncing echoes to your performance. Adjust the Mix, Regen and Delay knobs to tailor the delay level, number of repeats and overall delay time.
Bright Switch for Cutting Through the Mix
While the M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay excels at producing dark, murky analog tones, the Bright switch helps your delayed signal cut through when needed. Engage the Bright switch to boost high frequencies in the delay repeats, allowing them to stand out more clearly. Disengage the Bright switch for a warmer, more subtle delay tone. The Bright switch works in tandem with the Tone knob, giving you additional tonal shaping power over your delays.
Rugged and Road-Ready
The M292 Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay is built to withstand the rigors of stage use and life on the road. Its all-analog circuitry and metal chassis provide durability and consistency of tone night after night. The hardwired bypass allows for silent switching and prevents signal degradation when the effect is inactive. Power the pedal with a standard 9-volt DC power supply for plug-and-play convenience.

Warm and unique sounding delay. Has a good bright option if you want a more conventional sound. I've had the regular version and having tap tempo and more options on the deluxe is the way to go.
Decent pedal...nice addition!

I added this MXR Carbon copy deluxe pedal to my pedal board. I have a digital delay effects pedal, but wanted to add this in the mix to augment that sound. I like the tap switch for tempo...and the selector for 1/4, 1/8 ...notes on the effect is nice.
Pretty Good

I had to use battery power upon using it the first time, just now... I felt near breaking the battery connector due to the wiring being way too short. I tugged gently to extend it but it won't budge, so I had to cram the 9volt past the lower lip of the battery compartment that doesn't move. I really felt frustrated upon nearly breaking a rather expensive product upon first use etc. I bought the MXR reverb pedal which came with a power adapter YET this pedal did not which forced me to use my rechargeable 9volts etc. I do plan on buying the MXR power brick thingy so I guess this will all be a moot point once that's setup. Anyway it seems to provide the function and sonic qualities I need. I'm replacing my old ZOOM 9030 because that piece of tech is over 30+ years old and the input jack was crackling and red lining without the guitar input being in place. I hope this works out since it isn't a cheap setup(reverb+delay pedals=$400+) This pedal offers a good variety of delay effects and with the modulation it gets into more ambient effect territory although I really plan on using it for my basic clean tone that I use for everything. I use just one slight echo along with a large reverb setting which is hardly noticeable. So I basically use these two pedals to provide a slight ambient cushion for my clean tone but when I want I can obviously tweak the settings and dial in more extreme atmospheric soundscapes.

Most of us know that MXR Carbon Copy is the best analog delay in last several years. This one has extended the real estate - so knobs and regulations are more intuitive and visible. My favorite addition here is the BRIGHT switch, which makes this pedal double the value. I used to own the Bright version, sold it and bought regular one, only to regret at times... Now - no regrets, this is perfect!

My first analog delay, and haveing just scratched the surface with it I'm pretty impressed. Sounds wonderful, very intuitive controls, tap-tempo works very well. I use a Strat>twin reverb and it makes leads sound BIG. Clean, driven and fuzz all sound great.

Read reviews, watched YT vids, concluded this was for me and it was. Sadly there were no actual information manual inside the packing box but oh well I found great info online. Its a superb upgrade over my budget delay pedal and more. The shimmering articulations produced are heavenly especially with my tele guitar. Before you put mere dollars down on a cheap inexpensive delay pedal save a bit more to get this soothing beast.
