Part of the MEINL HCS line, the HSC Trash Crash cymbal offers drummers of all ages and levels a high-quality cymbal at an incredible value. This 16" or 18" trash crash cymbal sounds like a cross between a China cymbal and a dark crash. Made in Germany from MS63 brass alloy it is lathe formed with wide blade lathing and features a traditional finish. The substantial thickness with well-formed surface grooves and hammer marks give you a defined sound without clangy or ear-piercing overtones. The hole cutouts give it its trashy tone, and it's great for accents, cymbal stacking or heavy fills with its quick sustain.

HCS Cymbals
These are not those distractingly cheap, flimsy prop cymbals that come with most drum sets. MEINL HCS cymbals have impressive sound and sturdy feel geared toward beginner/intermediate players. Playing HCS cymbals will sound more like what you hear in actual songs, making the drums even more fun to play.     Let me just say, this is the cymbal I am most asked about and complemented on. I purchased this once as a demo version from another site and after every EMO night gig I've played a drummer has come up to ask me what the cymbal was because they loved it so much. It like a china, but WAY cheaper and with little longer ring to it. PLUS sound guys seem to appreciate it way more. Overall it holds up pretty well, I'm a heavy hitter myself and one lasted me about 2 years before I purchased this brand new one because the other one had multiple cracks connecting the holes. But when you buy the coverage it pretty much matches the lifespan of this cymbal so you can get replaced under that coverage! It's one of the reasons I actually picked one up the day I was in the store because the sales rep sold me on that very feature.

    Bought the 16" HCS Trash Crash to add a little flavor to my kit and it did not disapppoint. Where the HCS China cymbals were rather disappointing, the Trash offers a much fuller sound and is of excellent quality, especially at this price. If you're shopping in budget effects cymbals, this is one of the best bangs for your buck you'll find.
