Open Box KNA DB-1 Double Bass Pickup Level 1

Description
The KNA DB-1 double bass pickup is a portable, passive pickup for double bass that faithfully reproduces your instrument's dynamic range. It installs safely without any permanent modifications. A piezo sensor with a wooden casing fits into the bridge, secured by friction. The included 1/4" output jack attaches to the tailpiece, letting you plug in anywhere. With the KNA DB-1, you can amplify your double bass easily, without changing its inherent sound.
Hear the True Sound of Your Double Bass
With its wooden casing, the bridge-mounted piezo sensor captures your double bass's natural timbre and dynamics sensitively. Since it's passive, there's no battery required that could introduce noise or coloration. The pickup simply conveys the actual character of your instrument. You get excellent amplification without compromising the sound you love acoustically.
Jam Anywhere With the Portable Design
The KNA DB-1 pickup makes your double bass portable. Just plug the tailpiece-mounted 1/4" jack into an amp or PA system and you're ready to play. The passive design doesn't need a battery or external preamp. With easy, non-permanent installation, you can use the pickup when you want amplification, without permanently modifying your instrument. It's an ideal way to electrify your double bass on stage or in the studio.

I bought #1 for my double bass-sounds great. When my Stagg upright electric bass stopped working, I tried the DB-1; sounds great, even w/o a preamp. I got #2 to have 1 for each. Few options @ this price. Also have kna pickups for my classical & 12 string guitars. They look good, too.

I installed this pickup a few days ago on my 1959 Karl Hofner Upright Bass with an adjustable bridge. Was very easy to place in the top bridge opening over the G and D strings. I only used one of the included wood spacers to get a snug fit. Plugged it into my Ampeg Rocket Bass RB115 and found the tone I was looking for. Great product!

The KNA DB-1 Upright Bass Pickup is by far a awesome pickup! I just received it yesterday from Guitar Center and was excited to try it out. I have a Karl Hofner 1959 Upright Bass made in Germany, and after trying different bridge mounted pickups, this one did the trick. I installed it on the G/D side of the bridge, above the foot at the top side cut out, and only had to use 1 spacer to make a snug fit. The pickup is wood to wood on the bridge so the tone is wonderful. I run in into my Ampeg RB-115 Rocket Combo Amp and it sounds great with no feedback even at a louder volume.
