I sometimes do a solo act. This is great for overdubbing a bass or 12 string.

  • Good pedal but would be careful hen using it live.

The effect works smoothly and tracking is great. The only issue is the "click" sound it does sometimes when engaged. When used on guitar is creates a nice organ sound when using both Oct up and Oct down together with the dry signal (try coupling it with reverb or chorus and it gets even nicer!). For bass it allows you to have a thick sound and combine it with and Oct up as if you had another guitar playing the same line.

Excellent pedal. I bought this to use with a bass guitar. I also bought a TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up Mini so I could compare and select the one I liked the best. The difference was night and day. I was not expecting it to be so noticeable. Yes, the Nano POG is more expensive, and that becomes very obvious when you use it. First of all, the tracking is amazing. It's clean, clear, instant, and doesn't alter the sound of your bass. The construction is superb. The knobs are so sturdy and operate smoothly, giving you a huge range of useable octave combinations and variations. The housing, switch, inputs - everything is amazing quality. I highly recommend this pedal.

  • One of the better octave pedals on the market

Love the effect. I am just not a huge fan of the Buffer that is in the pedal. Messes up my fuzz face. I just put it through a true bypass stop to fix the issue

Can the Nano POG be used with a bass? Do sub-octave notes on the low E string track well and sound good?

    1) Yes it can. 2) No. It won't sound good at all. There is no analog unit available to do what you want. The majority will not trigger below D.
