A quick once over and you'd think that this was a pretty nice case. A closer look and it's easy to see that it's just not the type of quality that you'd expect out of what is supposed to be a sturdy road case. As far as the exterior, the material is very flimsy and thin. Definitely not like any other road case I've ever owned. The handle is pretty weak...not something I would carry around a lot and expect not to break. I don't necessarily mind that it isn't spring-loaded or recessed, but that would be a negative for a lot of users. The inside is equally underwhelming with the thinnest padding you could imagine lining it, tacked on with what appears to be the lowest quality adhesive ever manufactured. It's already coming up and I havn't even placed a single record inside. The case could have also benefited from a divider in the middle not only for ease of browsing, but for overall stabilizing of the case. If you're serious about protecting your records and comfortably transporting them, I would suggest spending a little more money and going with a higher quality case.

  • Love you, Guitar City, but please get the FZLP80 case.

I thought this was like the FZLP80. It's not. This LKP1 case is okay if you're not lugging them around consistently. Luckily I just need cases to store my vinyl and keep them from getting dusty. This LKP1 case does not have a recessed, spring loaded handle and it is impossible to stack another case on top because of the handle. Handle is plastic. The Odyssey Logo tag catches on things like clothing and can cut skin. Odyssey must have cut back since 2005 when their cases were sleeker, the top and bottom were cut at an angle so you could split the records between the compartments for easier searching. This LKP1 case is ok but not as sturdy/manageable as Odyssey's FZLP80.
