A cool mother-of-pearl pattern inlay on the rosette and fingerboard lend a richness to this D-X2E rosewood dreadnought acoustic-electric guitar, making it as impressive to look at as it is to play. With a Performing Artist neck, fingerboard and bridge of select hardwood, the sound transfer of this model has been greatly improved. It is equipped with Fishman MX electronics and strung with Martin’s Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings. With a new, soft gig bag featuring headstock, bridge and endpin protectors, a durable water-repellent exterior, and foam padding, this model is ready to go anywhere.

    The difference between this and the Martin D-X2E. This has polished tuning pegs vs Martin has satin tuning pegs. This has the MX without the tuner while the Martin has the MXt with sound hole tuner. I picked up the D'Addario sound hole tuner and problem solved. It plays well and come with a gig bag for easy travels. I might buy again but only if it was on sale.

    I bought a DX1rae used which is the older equivalent to this Guitar. The rosewood looks great and the solid soundboard sounds and looks even better. The electronics are meh so I put a bags underboard on it. Great guitar for a pro that wants a guitar for traveling and doesn't want to take their D28 or a beginner looking to upgrade.
