Versatile Sound for Any Situation

Whether recording intricate tracks in the studio or pounding out driving backbeats for an arena show, the Ludwig Supralite steel snare drum delivers. Its 1 mm steel shell and triple-flanged hoops produce full-bodied tone with crisp articulation and controllable sustain—extremely versatile sonics perfect for pop, rock, funk or jazz. With the Supralite, you'll have a reliable, great-sounding snare drum on hand for any gig or session.

good sound if you tune it right just like any snare drum. I've had to loctite most of the lugs/tension rods. The bottom rod on the bottom side of the side of the drum I hit rimshots on actually fell out during a show once. If you hit hard at all this is not the drum for you.

  • Great used piece of gear, just what my son was looking for!

I got back into drumming after 16 years been playing guitar since. I had a Ludwig Supraphonic 6 1/2 loved it for 30 plus years. The sale's men at the store said these sound as good as my old one. I bought this for 180.00 on sale with a new Tama super star classics and zildjian cymbals. This set sounds great. The snare is awesome!!! Highly recommend.
