Realistic Amp and Effects Models Powered by HX Technology

The Helix limited-edition features Line 6’s award-winning HX modeling, recreating the sound and feel of vintage and modern amps, cabinets, microphones, and effects with exceptional accuracy. Each stage of an amp’s circuitry is meticulously modeled, allowing the Helix to react to your playing just like the original hardware. It even recreates rare effects like the Shin-ei Uni-Vibe pedal using the unique Throbber technology.

Intuitive Control With Capacitive-Touch Footswitches

Helix’s capacitive-touch footswitches and customizable scribble strips make navigation and adjustments fast and efficient. Simply touch a footswitch to access any block or parameter, or hold to assign controls. With a large 800x480-pixel LCD, the Helix eliminates complex menus, giving you a clear view of your settings at all times, perfect for on-the-fly tweaks during live performances.

Extensive I/O for Ultimate Rig Integration

With four mono or two stereo effects sends/receives, three expression pedal inputs, MIDI integration and more, the Helix limited-edition offers unparalleled flexibility. You can easily integrate both digital and analog gear into your setup, create complex signal routing schemes, or use it as the central hub of your live or studio rig. Its comprehensive I/O makes the Helix ideal for any type of performance or recording setup.

Seamless Compatibility and Preset Sharing

The Helix limited-edition is fully compatible with the entire Helix family, including Helix Rack, Helix LT and the Helix Native plug-in. Easily share presets across all Helix devices, ensuring that your custom tones are available whether you're performing live or recording in the studio. Regular firmware updates from Line 6 continue to expand the Helix's capabilities, adding new models, features, and improvements.

Helix 3.80 firmware update (as of Nov. 2024), is free to download by any owners of this product.
This free firmware update for Helix and HX hardware devices and the 3.80 software update for the Helix Native plug-in finally delivers six of the most requested amp channels and four unique cabs. Although the focus is on new amps and cabs, please note that the HX Effects processor and HX One pedal will still receive a new free effect.

Based on the Bogner Ecstasy and EVH 5150III (6L6), these new models round out the portfolio of amps, and the Teardrop Bass Q represents the first new Wah since v1.0.

    So far I'm very pleased with it. The sounds are incredible and it's amazing how far technology has come! I would've absolutely given this product 5 stars but here are 3 reasons why I'm not. Number 1 straight of the box I started building patches and out of no where the screen flips upside down and the letters are backwards. So now I'll need to talk to line 6 about this issue. Second reason it took a month to get to me. I understand we're in a pandemic but they would tell me it'd arrive this day and then it wouldn't. One more reason is the blue is not as blue as the picture shown. It's more of a royal blue and not that bright of a blue. But overall I'm very pleased with the product and the capabilities it has. But I won't be buying anything else from guitar center in the future.

    At home, the multiple amps and effects are all located in one unit, I really like the virtual signal paths, so I am not having to deal with separate effects boxes, cables, and pedal boards. Great for studio applications.

    First... The blue color is great! The pictures on Musiciansfriend's website make it seem lighter blue, but it is actually a great shade. Second, I was running a Line 6 Dream Rig (Variax, HD500X, DT25 Amp). The Helix is replacing the HD500X and sounds MUCH better. I bought presets from MBritt, Glenn DeLaune, and Fremen. They all have great sounding options. It still takes time to learn how each preset is configured and how to best adapt them for personal use, but the starting point is awesome! Third, I am surprised at the amount of bugs in the Helix I have encountered so far. For the most part, they are minor, but I had hoped that by waiting this long to upgrade, the bugs would be worked out. I have run into an issue with corrupted presets that occurs occasionally. There are also bugs in the Variax implementation still. The reason I bought was to get better sounds and take advantage of the preset development in the Helix community. I was torn between the Helix, the Fractal 3, and the Kemper. The Helix was significantly less expensive than the others, especially through Musiciansfriend. I highly recommend.
