I double checked to make sure that this was the model that I purchased before posting a review. Same one. It was the only one my GC had in-store. My 10 year old showed in interest in playing after he saw me recording a session. He wanted a cowbell on the kit I have here at my house. Went to my local GC and picked up a cowbell and this mount. This mount will NOT stay on the bass drum. Tried with and without included foam. Slowly slips off, regardless of how tight it is screwed in. He hits pretty hard, but he's 10! It has fallen off when we're sitting in the same room watching a movie while no one is playing. I tightened it enough to (slightly) damage the underside of the hoop, but it still refused to stop slipping. Finally mounted it to an additional snare stand, and that works better, but not a great angle. I'd look for another solution/product. LP is a reputable company. Not bashing them, but this just doesn't work.... at least in my situation that is specifically what it is advertised as.

It's perfect and fits the price very well. I'm using it with the 45th Anniversary Cowbell which is one of the largest they sell. It withstood active playing throughout 2 weeks of musical rehearsals and performances and no damage to the hoop at all. No slipping, damage or change in sound. Perfect!
