Jackson Concert Bass JS2 Black

Description
The Jackson Concert Bass JS2 Black lets bassists tap into deep, punchy tones. This 34"-scale four-string bass features a lightweight poplar body, bolt-on maple neck and 12"-16" compound radius amaranth fingerboard for comfortable playability. Powered by dual high-output Jackson humbucking pickups, the JS2 produces a monstrous low-end growl with clarity and detail. The Jackson HiMass bridge provides rock-solid stability and improved sustain. The JS2 Bass gives you high performance at an affordable price.
High-Output Pickups for Powerful Low End
The Jackson high-output humbucking bass pickups are painstakingly voiced to deliver fat, punchy tones with plenty of low-end rumble but not too much harshness. Roll off some highs with the tone control for a vintage thump or open up the highs for modern articulation. With these high-output pickups, you'll have enough output and definition to cut through the mix.
Compound Radius Fingerboard
Jackson pioneered the innovative 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard design. Near the nut, the rounder fingerboard radius is ideal for comfortable chording and rhythm playing. Farther up the neck, the flatter radius facilitates fast lead work, bends and wide vibrato. This combination of curves suits any playing style.
HiMass Bridge for Rock-Solid Stability
The Jackson HiMass bridge provides exceptional stability for improved sustain and clearer tone. Its solid, non-resonant base won't absorb vibrations from the strings. Massive brass saddles firmly anchor each string in place, eliminating "dead" spots. The HiMass bridge stands up to aggressive playing, keeping your bass sounding great at high volumes and during heavy hits.

Great bass for the money - versatile & great quality control
This my first bass in a long time (went to 6 strings like 40 years ago) and I'm impressed with the quality, sound, and playability of this especially for the money. Fingerboard really looks and feels like rosewood (it isn't) but since I've been out of bass for so long, I can't comment on whether it SOUNDS like rosewood here. Controls are straight forward and do make a difference. Bridge is solid and stout / heavy. Finish (got the matte black which I'm not crazy about - prefer gloss) is well done and I've yet to find any imperfections including on the headstock. Headstock has the Jackson scarf and the whole neck feels comfortable. My preference is to change the action a little bit - lower E and A so long as they won't buzz, and raise G a little. Very responsive to differences between fingers, pick, and slap - sounds great acoustically, louder and sharper than I expected but that doesn't translate as much when plugged in. Once the strings age / get dirty a little that acoustic sound may tame. Overall happy with it. Dreading the day I chip that headstock or snap it off entirely!

Defective bridge saddle
Overall nice bass, plays nicely after a setup. Unfortunately during a setup, I found that one of the bridge saddles had the screw hole drilled too large so it was impossible to set the intonation. Emailed Jackson but they did not have any parts for replacement. I was told to look for aftermarket parts, not what I expected from Jackson.

Ordered this bass a week ago and it came in right on time. Great pickups and really clean finish. Smooth wooden neck. Good scale length and nice fret inlays. This is my seccond bass and overall a big upgrade from the one I started with. Amazing quality for what you're paying highly reccomend.

I traded in my Jackson Spectra JS2 bass in Red for the Jackson JS2 Concert Bass in White. It played great out of the store and the fit and the finish is really good. The Jackson high output soap bar humbucking pickup sound great also. The biggest surprise was the neck. At this price to get a compound neck is awesome. That's a future usually reserved for more expensive guitars. The neck has a almost unfinished feel to it, it has a very smooth feel. The hi mass bridge is the same on my previous Spectra JS2 bass. Its an really nice bridge. The closed back tuners are okay, they cut out some cost there as they did with the body, being that it's popular, but neither or those are a game changer.

What is/are the proper case(s) for the JS2 Concert Bass? It says case sold separately. I don't want a Roadrunner or other generic. Is there a VERY padded gig bag? Only a hard case? Please provide item numbers.
Jackson JS Series Multi-Fit Bass Gig Bag is the bag that is recommended for your bass, as for a hard case that would have to be special ordered.
