Description
The JBL 305P MKII 5" powered studio monitors are designed for audio professionals seeking high-quality, accurate sound reproduction. Featuring JBL's patented high-definition imaging waveguide technology, these bi-amplified monitors provide crystal-clear highs, smooth mids and tight, controlled bass for the most authentic mix translation. With compact cabinets housing 5" woven Kevlar woofers and 1" soft-dome tweeters, the 305P MKII's deliver a wide frequency range and impressive volume levels without distortion. These innovative, affordable studio monitors are here to help you achieve studio quality sound.
High-Definition Imaging Waveguide Provides Panoramic Stereo Imaging
JBL's high-definition imaging waveguide was created to provide an ultra-wide soundstage with precise stereo imaging for the most immersive listening experience. The waveguide evenly distributes high frequencies to a wide area, enhancing the sense of space and depth. The result is a panoramic soundscape where every sonic detail can be clearly heard.
5" Woven Kevlar Woofer and 1" Soft-Dome Tweeter
At the heart of the 305P MKII is a 5" woven Kevlar woofer and 1" soft-dome tweeter. The rigid, lightweight Kevlar woofer produces tight bass response down to 43Hz. The soft-dome tweeter delivers crisp, extended highs up to 24kHz. Together, they provide a balanced frequency range ideal for any studio application from mixing and mastering to multimedia creation.
Bi-Amplified for Optimal Frequency Separation
The 305P MKII features a bi-amplified design with dedicated amplification for the woofer and tweeter. This allows for precise tuning of each driver and prevents intermodulation distortion. The end result is a clear, articulate sound with an expansive dynamic range.
Versatile Connectivity and Control
On the rear input panel, the 305P MKII offers balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs as well as an unbalanced RCA input. The TRS and XLR inputs accept line level signals for connecting audio interfaces, mixers and preamps. RCA inputs can connect CD players and other consumer audio devices. Input sensitivity switches toggle between +4dBu and -10dBV. There is also an HF trim control to adjust the tweeter level, allowing you to tune the speaker's frequency response to your room's acoustics.
