This purchase was a complete fail.

This purchase was a fail. The guitar arrived in bad shape, and I couldn't even get guitar Center to resolve it. The guitar showed up first of all way earlier than it was supposed to during the holiday season, so the guitar set on my porch for almost 3 weeks without my knowledge. Then, when I finally did get home and realized it was sitting on my porch and got a chance to open it immediately I was greeted with the high e string flopping around inside of the case. The finish was damaged or just not done correctly from the factory. I'm not really sure which. Those were some of the minor issues that were more or less just annoying and then we get to the major issues, the warped neck, fret sprout galore and the nut wasn't cut correctly which are all major playability issues that ended up costing me $300 to resolve. Because of the fact that they delivered the guitar so much earlier than they stated when I ordered it that I was unable to bring it back for a return or exchange before the 45 days. The guitar was supposed to arrive in merch because it was on back order and so I was out of the country. The guitar arrived on December 28 and sat on my porch for a very long time before I even got a chance to open it. So therefore, the 45 days was used up pretty much by the time I got an opportunity to figure out that there was a problem… my luthier was able to fix the issues with a complete fret leveling and basically cheat it into being straight but the neck is worked for sure. So basically, I paid full price for a brand new guitar that isn't right and needed modification to make it right and that cost me more money. Guitar Center never looked at this guitar before it was sent to me. It came directly from Japan to my house pretty much. They should have looked at this before it left the store and corrected these issues before I received it like any other reputable guitar store would have done such a Sweetwater or Motor, City Guitar. furthermore, the case that this guitar comes with is definitely not the greatest thing I have ever seen, considering the head stock lays on the floor of the case, which is not protecting your guitar properly and the case lid does not close properly and the latches are very loose. Definitely have seen better cases in my time, especially with such an expensive instrument. I realize with all brand names you do have a lemon here and there but guitar Center should have never sent me this guitar. I blame them more than I blame Ibanez just because someone should have inspected this, and it never should have gotten out the door in this condition. The quality of the case is neither here nor there just a bummer that's all. I definitely will not be purchasing any more instruments from guitar Center after this experience.

This is by far the best guitar I own!. Set up right out of the box was spot on. The feel an playability are incredibly fast. The neck is silky smooth and the Fishman pickups rock. The Dark Blue Flat satin finish is better than any picture can represent.

how much does it weigh?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 8.5 – 9.0 lbssubmitted3 years ago
