Top-Rated
Ibanez GB10EM George Benson Hollowbody Electric Guitar Antique Amber

Description
The Ibanez GB10SE’s comfortably sized, narrower, hollowbody features a spruce top with linden back and sides, augmented with a strong, smooth GB 3-piece maple set-in neck. It also features an ebony bridge and the same eye-catching GB10 tailpiece as its more expensive sibling. A special design half-bone/half-brass nut creates a warm, natural tone while enhancing sustain. The Ibanez Sure Grip III control knobs ensure precise, no-slip control over volume and tone.
Designed for smooth sound and moderate output, two GB Special mini-humbuckers are mounted to the pickguard, suspending them above the guitar’s spruce top, preventing feedback at higher volumes while retaining a warm, creamy tone.
Spanning over three decades, George Benson and Ibanez have one of the most enduring relationships ever between a guitar maker and guitar legend.

I have the amber colored model. I haven't had it long but so far I like it. I'm not a pro don't gig but have been playing for many years, 50+, but I would say this would be a good gigging guitar. The fret ends needed a little dressing to smooth a few scratchy ones but they were all level, no high/buzzing frets. I also added a bit of neck relief because this one had none which caused a bit of rattle when playing 6th string first fret. Machine heads are not bad for a guitar in this price range. Well worth the price imop.

what is the actual weight of this guitar since different weights are given by different sources?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh.submitted3 years ago

Can a strap button be installed as like a Les Paul on the body close to the fifthteenth fret?
In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar.
