Ibanez AM93ME Artcore Expressionist Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar Natural

Description
Built with tone woods selected for their beauty as well as their musicality, the Expressionist models are perfect for a wide range of styles, from jazz and blues to rock and folk.
The AM93ME features a Macassar Ebony top, back and sides; clean, handsome white binding on the body, headstock and fingerboard and expertly crafted set-in neck construction to ensure maximum resonance. The rich Ebony fingerboard, with contrasting white block inlays, sits on a set-in neck that has proven its reliability on thousands of Ibanez hollow and semi-hollow bodies throughout the years.
Jazz fans will recognize the original Ibanez Super 58 pickups—the preferred pickup of George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield for their own Signature models. Super 58 pickups, known for their warm, balanced articulation and excellent response, are equally effective in a variety of genres.

I just bought this a couple of days are seeing it in the rack several time. I played it for an hour, went home, became massively depressed, went back the next day, played it for any hour, and I had to buy it. I've got several very nice guitars, this one for me is magic. Plus it's just so beautiful and well made. The Super 58's sound great, and the difference in tone between neck and bridge is pronounced and both are wonderful. Great playing neck. Needs nothing. Worth more that the selling price.

I have several guitars but this is my first semi-hollow and probably the most unique aesthetically. The guitar got several compliments on the looks of it when I unboxed it at my local guitar center. I've played this guitar a lot over the last week and, once tuned, it held tune very well and the intonation was good at the 12 fret. Nice low action right out of the box so I'm keeping things the way they are with no additional setup. The Super 58 Custom pickups produce clean Jazz/Blues sounds and have a nice growl when gain is added. The guitar also sounds nice acoustically if you just want to noodle around with it unplugged. Seems to be a pretty versatile guitar. Personally I really like the smaller size of the am93 vs. as93 (Think es339 vs. es335). The smaller guitar just seems to be a little more comfortable to me especially when practicing from a seated position. You really can't go wrong with either, both are great guitars so it comes down to preference in regards to size/tone.

What is the weight of the guitar?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This is about 8 lbssubmitted4 years ago

What hard case fits this guitar?
The Ibanez AM100C Artcore Guitar Case would work well and be a good choice.
