The limited-edition Gretsch Guitars G5427TG Electromatic hollowbody single-cut electric guitar bursts with articulate, punchy tone. Gretsch combined a laminated maple body with trestle bracing and dual FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups for huge, full sound with enhanced clarity. The G5427TG Electromatic also features a comfortable classic C-shaped maple neck, upgraded controls for versatile shaping, late-'50s bound headstock and gold hardware, including a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece. This stylish, performance-focused hollowbody comes in a cool Midnight Sapphire finish.

FT-5E Filter'Tron Pickups Provide Classic Gretsch Twang

The G5427TG Electromatic is equipped with a pair of FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups for authentic Gretsch sound with tight bass, crisp highs and slightly scooped mids. These high-output single-coil pickups are also very feedback-resistant, allowing for higher gain settings without unwanted squeal. A three-position toggle switch selects the bridge pickup, bridge and neck pickups together, or the neck pickup alone for a range of tones from bright and cutting to warm and rounded.

Upgraded Controls Offer Ample Tonal Versatility

The G5427TG Electromatic features upgraded controls including master volume with treble-bleed circuit to maintain high-end clarity at lower volumes, master tone and individual pickup volume controls. This arrangement provides a multitude of sound-shaping options for dialing in the perfect tone for any musical style. The pickup volume controls, in particular, allow balancing the neck and bridge pickups to create tones ranging from jangly rhythm to screaming lead.

Comfortable Maple Neck and Laurel Fingerboard

The G5427TG Electromatic has a classic C-shaped maple neck for a comfortable playing feel. The maple construction adds brightness and articulation. The laurel fingerboard, with 22 medium-jumbo frets and pearloid hump block inlays, also contributes to the guitar's punchy yet well-defined tone. A shorter 24.6" scale length improves playability for chording and complex solos.

Vintage-Style Appointments Bring Retro Style

Several vintage-inspired touches give the G5427TG Electromatic a retro vibe, including open-back tuning machines, gold hardware, pearloid pickguard and a late-'50s bound headstock. A Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece allows subtle pitch bending effects. An optional hardshell case or gig bag is available (sold separately) to protect your investment in classic Gretsch style and tone. Overall, the G5427TG Electromatic exudes a bold yet refined vintage spirit, with looks and sound to match.
