Best out of the box Guitar period
I have owned many guitars but this one really caught my eye. A Gretsch was one I wanted. I found this gem I liked the look of it. Mine is black, really black. Fit and finish are excellent gorgeous guitar the chambered body produces a great sound the pick ups are great for a guitar in this price range. They are shipped with and inspection card. The set up out of the box surprised me Action was perfect the intonation was almost perfect. Only a slight turn of the screw on the A string was needed. You want tone this is it. It really rivals my Epiphone Les Paul studio. It can be warm gritty and most anywhere in between. Better quality switch than most solid thunk pots are smooth and accurate. It has better strings from the factory. No muss no fuss. The best bang for the buck plays and sounds like more higher end models.I would highly recommend it!!!

I bought this guitar a few years ago for my first guitar. I didn't want anything fancy, but I also did not want junk. I am super pleased with this guitar. The sound is great and I found it easy to learn on. I just bought my first pedal to play with it and the fun just keeps going on and on. Great first guitar and in overall!
Definitely a great guitar

It has been awhile since I had an electric guitar (10 years), and I was ready to get one. After reviewing options of my preferred design and price range, I automatically gravitated to this guitar. I knew Gretsch was a top of the line brand, and saw the good reviews on this guitar. Since I have been playing it I have been loving the tones and feel of the neck. This is my first upper tier electric guitar and I can tell the quality is up there. I soo wouldn't change my mind on this purchase. To top it off I get on a deal! Love this Gretsch!
I am very pleased with this purchase.

Tuning and minor intonation issues. Needs bridge adjustment and better quality tuners. These can be remedied. I play mostly blues. Perfect guitar for that. Considering the price, it's a great buy.
Very Nice

This is a great guitar and it doesn't cost a fortune. Mine was set up and playable right out of the box. Never owned a Gretsch before but heard good things and they were true. It is a bit on the heavy side for a chambered guitar but no big deal.
