Gibson Custom M2M 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Gloss Electric Guitar Double Gold

Description
The Gibson Custom M2M 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue electric guitar is a meticulous homage to one of the most iconic guitars ever created. Crafted by Gibson's talented Custom Shop team, this '57 Reissue captures every nuance that made the original Goldtops prized by countless guitar heroes over the decades. From its carved AA figured maple top with the shimmering gold "Bullion" nitrocellulose finish to the premium tonewoods and vintage-spec electronics, this is as close as you can get to owning a priceless 1957 original.
Uncompromising Vintage Construction
Every component has been meticulously reengineered to replicate the original 1957 Les Paul Goldtops down to the finest details. The carved AA figured maple top is bound in nitrocellulose lacquer, while the mahogany back is treated with Gibson's proprietary Antiquity Burst for that luscious aged look. Hotter than vintage hide glue joins the maple top and mahogany back for superior resonance transfer. Even the '57 Reissue profile on the hide glue-secured mahogany neck is replicated precisely to recreate the vintage playing feel. Premium hardware like the ABR-1 bridge and vintage tulip tuners leave no detail overlooked.
A Legendary Look and Feel
Hold this '57 Reissue and you'll be transported back in time to the golden age of rock and blues guitar. The carved AA figured maple top, gold nitrocellulose Bullion finish and aged Antiquity Burst on the back present a stunning vintage aesthetic. The '57 Reissue profile on the quartersawn hide glue mahogany neck provides the familiar feel of a well-played vintage Les Paul neck. Details like the vintage tulip tuners, historic truss rod cover and long tenon neck heel only enhance the nostalgic vibe. This guitar looks, feels and sounds like the real deal because it adheres to the original '57 spec in every way.
The Quintessential Les Paul Tone
At the heart of this '57 Reissue lies a pair of exceptional PAF-style humbucking pickups that recreate the legendary tones that helped define rock and blues guitar playing. The warm, vocal midrange, brilliant highs and rich, resonant lows produced by these vintage-spec pickups are the secret sauce behind the most revered Les Paul tones. You'll achieve remarkable clarity and singing sustain whether riffing out chunky rhythms, firing off blistering leads or wailing on soulful blues lines. A 3-way pickup selector switch plus individual volume and tone controls provide a wealth of sonic versatility.
Realize Your Vintage Les Paul Dreams
With exacting vintage-spec construction down to the smallest details, the Gibson Custom 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue lets you experience what it was like to play one of the most legendary Les Paul models ever made. Definitely the best guitar purchase I have ever made

I walked into the Nashville GC just to kill some time. I had no idea I was going to walk out with this guitar. I would like to say a little about Cole, who was the sales rep in the Platinum Room that day . He was very professional, kind and helpful. One of the best GC employees I have ever dealt with. Just a very nice person all the way around. If you like a fat neck with low action and great sound you are gonna love this guitar. I am not sure how well the other examples of this guitar plays and sounds but, the one I purchased is the best sounding and playing Les Paul I have ever owned or played. It also plays and sounds better than a couple of other custom shop models I tried out that day. As a matter of fact the guitar I purchased sounds and plays better than any other guitar I have owned or played personally and I have had some real good ones too. Received my 1st guitar for Christmas in 1979 at the age of 6. I do not know how much time the Gibson Custom shop puts into setting up their guitars but this one was almost perfect. I have only adjusted the truss rod slightly and have fiddled with the string height by very small margins. These small adjustments have made the guitar effortless to play. It sustains forever and string bends are awesome. Since the pickups are not potted you get that good feedback at lower volumes. Also the neck pick up is nice and jazzy but when you kick in the bridge pick up it has a noticeable boost. It is awesome. It inspires me and makes me try to be a better player. I have had 2 other Les Paul Customs. This is my first Custom Shop Reissue as the other ones I had was a 1981 Norlen Era LP Custom and a 2008 LP Custom. I am not saying those other 2 customs I owned were not great guitars, they were but this one is better by a large margin. If anyone was considering this guitar I would not hesitate at all. I purchased the only one GC had in stock that day. Here is a pic of it at the sales desk before I packed it up for the trip home.

This particular item is denoted as M2M which stands for Made to Measure as if it has some sort of custom spec that differs from the standard production version. Would you be able to tell me what about this makes it a Made to Measure? Thank you
It's an interesting term. It comes from the world of manufacturing engineering, not luthiers. Gibson are the only builders to use it as far as I know. M2M indicates a 'hand build' as opposed to a production build. "Custom Shop" is the more common designation. The entire instrument, down to the screws in the pick guard, are M2M.submitted2 years ago

What are the specifications for the wiring in this Goldtop? Is it hand wired?
