Would buy again, needs setup however

I had been dreaming about this guitar for a while before I finally was able to buy it. I wanted my very own "Gilmour strat." I went to the GC closest to me where they had one in stock, and spent about an hour playing the one they had and having the tech adjust it. There were multiple buzzing problems on that one, and I finally gave up and didn't buy it. I then went to a GC about an hour away where they had the same strat, and the floor model had issues too. I played one out of the box which was better, but since I bought it (about 2 months ago) I've noticed buzzing frets. Not fret buzz, but the strings buzzed on certain frets. I've had multiple techs from multiple guitar stores look at it, and they can't hear a thing but I know what I hear. GC workers are very belittling, they think I don't know what I'm talking about. In summary, I haven't had it worked on in a while, but I do like the tone and feel. It's a good guitar overall, should be better for the money, but the buzzing bugs me. Because of that I find myself playing my Squire Classic 50s Vibe Tele more often but I do not regret purchasing it. This summer I am moving to Nashville, so hopefully there will be better guitar techs in Music City who will actually help me.

Buzz Deluxe

For the entire time I've owned it, I've been unable to resolve a fret buzz issue I bought it in NH at GC on my way back to FL. It buzzed on the E-A-D strings. I brought it to FL GC, who informed me it wasn't their problem since I bought it in NH. I had it professionally setup at a shop in Sarasota. It still buzzed. They told me it was because it's an assembly line Mexican Strat. When I returned to NH, I took it to a shop I've used before - same result Took it back to the NH Guitar Center where I bought it from. I was told my issue is with Fender. Opened a case with Fender. I took it to two authorized service centers. They checked it over and said that the neck was marginal - typical Mexican Strat!! They both said that Fender would not pay to have the frets leveled & dressed - they'd only replace the neck with one they pulled out of the assembly bin. The replacement neck might be better, but quite possibly the same or worse!! They didn't recommend trying a replacement. Poor for price - thanks Guitar Center/Fender This isn't the 1st guitar I've bought new from Guitar Center, but I'm pretty sure it will be the last

A just bought this Strat at my local Guitar Center It was the floor model but they must have just put it out. No scratches or finger prints. It was set up horribly just like some other reviews. I do my own set ups so I tweaked the truss rod, set the intonation properly, and locked down the bridge. I don't use the vibrato bar. It sounds and plays wonderfully. There is a 70th anniversary stamp on the back of the headstock for 2024. I highly recommend this Stratocaster in its beautiful black finish.

I played 4 different strats the same model. The one I bought was the one for me. The feel, the sound. A copy of the original 54 strat, is the perfect strat for me, Ryan set it up for me, changed the pick guard to white, and I love my Strat.
