Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster | Demo and Overview

Fender

collapse expand iconDescription

The Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster offers the chance to wield the same fiery tone and fluid playability that shaped rock music forever. This extraordinary instrument authentically reproduces the signature touches and appointments of Hendrix's iconic flipped Strats, allowing today's players to tap into his unrivaled legacy.

Reverse Headstock and Bridge Pickup for Legendary Hendrix Sound

The foundation of Hendrix's uniquely personal sound was flipping his Strats to accommodate his left-handed playing. This created a reverse headstock and bridge pickup, which Fender faithfully recreated here. The reverse headstock provides a tighter feel for bass strings and easier bending of treble strings. The reverse-slant bridge pickup produces a tight, warm tone with enhanced upper harmonics—Hendrix's signature Strat sound.

Versatile Neck and Vintage-Style Pickups

The fast-playing 9.5" radius maple neck with medium jumbo frets offers comfort for both chording and soloing. Pure Vintage '65 single-coil pickups, including reverse-slant bridge pickup, deliver incendiary vintage-inspired tone with clarity and punch.

Distinctive Hendrix-Inspired Touches

Large '70s-style headstock bears Hendrix's signature. Unique neck plate displays Hendrix's silhouette and "Authentic Hendrix" inscription. Olympic white gloss polyester finish and chrome hardware complete the iconic Hendrix vibe.

Premium Gig Bag Included

A premium gig bag provides stylish and dependable portability for your Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster.

Awesome Hendrix Vibe!!

As mentioned...the guitar is built solidly. It looks amazing! Full of Jimi-Vibe! My only gripe....the standard single coil pickups that are-and will always be prone to 60 cycle hum! This is not the 1950's....we don't have to deal with this!! The advances in Noiseless pickup technology have skyrocketed! And you don't lose any of the revered Strat tones with these....in spite of what the silly purists say! I installed a quality set of noiseless pickups in this guitar and now...I'm totally in love with it!! I've got all the great Jimi tones with NO noise!!

Jimi Hendrix is so disappointed

This guitar has no affiliation with Jimi Hendrix. If Hendrix was alive, there is no way he would approve this guitar for his signature guitar. It really makes me sad that fender went this far to make money off of Hendrix's name off of guitar that has no right being. The best device I can give you is if you want to play a Hendrix style guitar is by a late 60s Left-handed Strat on the other hand, it would've been really nice if fender would've done this right with the left-handed trim, low and an actual neck that represented what Hendrix favored playing on which was not a Maple neck at all

Love the feel of this guitar, the sound and the quality of the build. Have used a Squire Telecaster for a few years and this was a great upgrade.

I like the diversity of the tones on this guitar. I was playing Tennessee whiskey on it the other day then went back to trying to learn one of Jimi's songs and both sounded phenomenal. The way the neck feels in my hand makes it easier to transition between notes and the overall feel of it is just awesome.

I use it for stage, studio and practice. Finally, Hendrix features are adjusted to make playing practical for righthanders without loss of Jimi's authenticity! Buy some sets of "Fender Jimi Hendrix Strings" and believe me, it will make a world of difference in how great this guitar plays! I now have two, and looking at getting a third. The JH Strats don't have the big price tag of a Clapton, Beck or EJ Strat, but the quality is virtually the same.

  • Outstanding Stratocaster that captures the Hendrix vibe!

My wife ordered this guitar for me before they were released for sale in the stores. I use the EC Strats and have used them for 30 years. But i love this Hendrix heavily-influenced guitar! It may not be identicle, but I had the 1997 exact, unaltered Fender Strat for decades and although beautiful, it was not fun to play because of they issues of playing a left handed Stratocaster. I sold it. This altered model is really outstanding and so playable and sounds super. Really does! Great job, Fender! Thank You GC!

There is a reason we don't use these tuners anymore. Not practical. Get a standard or locking set instantly. Save yourself the frustration. Great guitar tuners SUCK.

Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is on this guitar. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw.
