The Fender American Ultra Stratocaster is the latest evolution of the iconic Strat design. Loaded with innovative features catering to discerning players searching for ultimate precision, tone and comfort, this state-of-the-art Stratocaster is a bold step forward. Sporting an alder body, maple "Modern D" neck and maple fingerboard, the American Ultra Stratocaster delivers a familiar feel with modern enhancements like a rolled compound-radius fingerboard and a contoured neck heel for effortless access across the 22 medium-jumbo frets. Powered by three Ultra Noiseless Vintage Strat single-coil pickups, advanced wiring unlocks a myriad of hum-free tones.

Ultra Noiseless Vintage Pickups Provide Pristine Strat Sound

The American Ultra Stratocaster is loaded with three Ultra Noiseless Vintage Strat single-coil pickups designed to capture the articulate voice of a vintage Strat without the hum. From bell-like neck pickup tones to punchy bridge pickup tones perfect for solos, this pickup set delivers a dynamic range of tones with impeccable clarity and definition. An S-1TM switch allows you to blend the neck pickup into any other switch position when engaged.

Compound Radius and Rolled Fingerboard Edges

A fast-playing 10"-14" compound radius fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets means lightning quick runs and bends are easily executed. Rolled fingerboard edges provide hours of playing comfort for chord work or solos. The Ultra Satin neck finish allows your hand to glide without resistance up and down the neck.

High-Performance Hardware for Rock-Solid Stability

The American Ultra Stratocaster features a two-point synchronized tremolo bridge for classic Strat tone and feel. Sealed locking tuning machines help keep you in tune through heavy tremolo use and string bending. Additional high-performance hardware like the bone nut and chrome hardware complete the premium build.

Premium Gig Bag Included

The American Ultra Stratocaster includes a premium molded case for transport to and from rehearsals, recording sessions and shows. The comfort handle make carrying a breeze, while the durable outer shell protects your instrument from the elements.

This Ultra is fantastic! The neck is a dream to play… very smooth satiny finish and frets are perfect. This set of noise less pickups sound are great. Fender's best noiseless yet and sound like a good Strat should. Then there is the finish… it is simply beautiful. The color ranges from black, to chocolate brown, to mocha, deep green and sparkling gold. Simply amazing looks and the gold anodizes aluminum pick guard looks great as well. The Guitar Center help in the Arvada Colorado store was top notch!

This guitar has no output limitations. Has no noise whatsoever. The switching capability and tone variety is unparalleled. Ultra can play everything from jazz to heavy rock. It's very versatile. Most importantly, it's very very clean and has a fat Strat sound. I put some .10 gauge strings on it, and after a couple days, it's settled right on in and sounds beautiful. I've been playing it through my 68' twin reissue on the vintage and bassman channel, And it is just phenomenal. I've owned many US Strats in my day, the only real learning curve is with the D-shaped neck. It takes a little bit of getting used to, but it's really not any harder than playing on some Gibson's that I've learned to play in the past .I have the Texas tea model .I will just use it like the tool it is for the job I need done. All of my guitars are unique sounding ,and have a different signature tone, and ultra is very ultra indeed.!It's built for comfort and speed.Enjoy playing y'all!!!

gorgeous fit and finish, stunning visually, easy to play, and most importantly, sounds like what you would expect from a SSS Strat with enhanced features. Very impressive overall. In this case using with the Eventide 3000 D/SE and new H90 on new album slated for spring of next year.

First things first, the manager and the guys at Guitar Center in Pensacola were very helpful. About 3 weeks ago I bought the Plus Top Stratocaster and I loved the guitar but wanted to upgrade to the Ultra so I started shopping around for one and found one at a different music store down the street for a significantly lower price than what was advertised at the local Guitar Center. So I figured I would have to return my guitar to the store. When I got there I asked about the price match guarantee that Guitar Center provides and I brought it up to them that I found the Cobra Blue Ultra guitar at a lower price at another store and after a few minutes and the manager doing some research he pretty much told me " if you're are going to buy this guitar, I would rather you buy it from us " I was very surprised. In my mind I thinking that he was going to come up with some sort of excuse to not match the price. That is what customer service is all about!!!! Middle finger to other stores! From here on out I am a lifelong customer of Guitar Center. Oh and this guitar is the best of the best!! It's like being handed the keys to a brand new Corvette ( or a Ford Cobra, whichever you prefer). So, hands down the best guitar and the best customer service you could ask for!! I'm already looking forward to getting an Ultra Tele this year!

In theory this is my second Fender Stratocaster, this being my 1st Ultra. I am planning to hopefully gig out with this and my les paul and record with the Ultra as well.

I'm debating between this SSS configuration Ultra, and a PRS Silver Sky maple neck. I love the tones on the Fender with the S-1 switching but I'm concerned about Fender's declining reputation of inconsistency and lack of options. That said, I've never played a guitar with a 7.25 radius such as the PRS Silver Sky. Granted this Fender is $500 cheaper than the Silver Sky but is that enough of a reason?

They would have very similar feels to them, but I would recommend giving them both a try and seeing which one feels better. Often times the cheaper option ends up being the most comfortable.
