The Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom ’59 Esquire electric guitar is a faithful recreation of that early solid-body electric guitar from Fender, packed with rare appointments and meticulous details for a top-of-the-line playing experience. It features a 2-piece select ash body with a lacquer finish and a riftsawn maple neck. The 1-piece maple fingerboard is topped with 21 medium-vintage frets and Micarta black dot inlays. Its sound is driven by a Custom Shop hand-wound ’58 single-coil Tele pickup at the bridge, with master volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup switch. Additional appointments to the Vintage Custom ’59 Esquire include vintage-style tuners, a bone nut, 3-saddle vintage-style Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, and chrome/nickel hardware.
