Nice guitar. don't buy for the 'extras'
50+ years old and I bought this package 3 months ago because I wanted to start taking lessons and learn to play. The guitar and amp are nice, though I admittedly have no experience with anything else to compare them to. My instructor and the tech at Guitar Center both say they enjoyed playing with it. First the bad: I wouldn't buy this package deal just because of the 'extras'. The free lesson is some software you download. You get one lesson and then they want you to pay for the full version of the software. The strap is pretty thin and was the first thing I replaced, and the cord was producing a hum and had to be replaced as well. So if you're buying this pack because it's all in one, don't. You'll need to spend some more money fairly quickly. I also paid to have it setup properly as some of the strings were buzzing when I first got it home. The good: What a good looking guitar! It's a nicer model than a standard LP Special II and it plays easy and sounds good too. The amp sounds nice and has a cool distort channel to play with. It's a practice amp, you won't be taking it on stage, it does everything you need to practice with. The built in tuner is a very nice feature as well. It works great and you don't have to buy a separate tuner. I'm happy with what I have, but if I had a do over I'd probably buy everything separately since I ended up spending money to replace things anyway.

Slash "AFD" Les Paul Preformance Pack
I've had this set up for over a year, even though it's my first actual guitar (I've played different ones over the years but never owned them), I know a good guitar from a bad one. I love the Les Pauls, but this guitar, just doesn't feel much like one, it is a great starter guitar, ad good for practicing. The strap I never used, and the amp is alright, but the top screw to hold the strap in keeps coming loose, in fact I dropped my guitar once due to that, and somewhat my last strap was old. The built in tuner is nice, though I have to tune It every time I pick the guitar up. I also get a lot of the fret buzz when I'm playing some riffs, and it gets annoying. I suggest this to a beginner, or someone looking for an expendable guitar. If you want something to play a little harder music, go for Schecter, a little more jamming, a Strat or something similar.

I started out with a guitar similar to this one and moved to a real Gibson Les Paul. I played in a touring band from learning from one of these. It might have some minor imperfections but nothing major. The sound is Great. Get you a small effects pedal and Rock On. Any of the Epiphone guitars are pretty decent.
Great guitar combo

It flat As a floor it did need a small cut out for my arm but I love everything else about it and the amp is nice it looks so much better in person than in a picture that's the only thing I can say bad about it but that's cause I'm a bigger guy the strap is a little short I'm tall I don't know if you want a great feeling guitar very nice craftsmanship it sparkle like a new car pre set up strings a bit out of tune but close right out the box I can't stop looking at it if I can say one thing to offer is a small stand so soon as you see it got to play it it's way too beautiful not to it needs a nice floor stand

what is blemished on this product?
This is a new item without blemishesUnfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.submitted6 years ago

I think this is a dumb question kinda new to this but does it have a whammy stick like does it use one an if so is it included
This guitar does not include a whammy bar. Les Paul Guitars don't generally use them.
