Three Voices of Overdrive, From Crunchy to Clean

With three selectable clipping modes, the Plumes produces overdrive tones ranging from lightly gritty to heavily saturated. Mode 1 utilizes symmetrical clipping for the most aggressive, crunchiest overdrive. Mode 2 bypasses the clipping diodes altogether for a transparent clean boost to drive preamps. Mode 3 features asymmetrical silicon diode clipping for a warm, touch-sensitive overdrive reminiscent of a classic green pedal.

Nearly 10 Megaohms of Input Impedance and +/- 9V of Headroom

Under the hood, the Plumes is equipped with low-noise JFET op amps, an input impedance of nearly 10 megaohms and +/- 9V of internal power conversion. This provides significantly lower noise, greater headroom, tighter bass, focused mids and shimmering high end. The result is an overdrive pedal with exceptional clarity and pick dynamics that excels at pushing tube amps into natural-sounding breakup.

Reimagined Tone Control Provides Focused Tone-Shaping

Rather than the classic tone knob found on most overdrive pedals, the Plumes features a reimagined tone control that provides broader tonal range. Turn counterclockwise for big, tight lows, focused mids and clear highs. Turn clockwise to open up the highs and add shimmer and sizzle. At noon, the tone control delivers a balanced, full-range tone with touch-sensitive pick dynamics.

Flexi-Switch Enables Momentary or Latching Footswitch Action

The Plumes is equipped with EarthQuaker Devices' Flexi-Switch technology, which enables the footswitch to be used in momentary or latching mode. In momentary mode, the effect is only active while the footswitch is depressed. In latching mode, the effect turns on or off with each press of the footswitch. The Flexi-Switch provides flexibility for various performance and recording applications.
