collapse expand iconDescription

D'Angelico's Premier Series Fulton Grand Auditorium 12-string acoustic-electric guitar brings a bold new vision to players seeking an innovative 12-string guitar built for live performance and studio recording. Featuring a solid mahogany body with thoughtful soundholes for resonance and a Fusion Neck for comfort, the Fulton also debuts D'Angelico's groundbreaking Stage Pickup System. Developed with Fishman, the Stage Pickup System gives players unprecedented control over their tone with intuitive controls for volume, EQ and body blend.

Stage Pickup System Provides Unrivaled Control

The Fulton's pioneering Stage Pickup System was designed to pick up where the guitar's acoustic properties leave off. Its simple yet robust controls for volume, EQ and body blend put a full spectrum of tones at your fingertips. The EQ knob allows you to scoop the midrange for an open, airy tone or restore it for a balanced, present tone. The body blend knob controls the level of the built-in body sensor, providing a dynamically rich, robust tone or a crisp, cutting tone. Powered by a 9V battery, the Stage Pickup System gives players an unprecedented level of control over their nylon-string tone.

Fully Chambered Mahogany Body Resonates and Inspires

The Fulton has a solid mahogany body with chambering throughout for enhanced resonance and comfort. Its thoughtfully placed soundholes aid in vibration, allowing players to hear and feel the natural, woody tone of the mahogany. The Fulton's body is ergonomically contoured for comfort during long sets, with a slim 1.5" thickness, tapered edges and a deep cutaway for easy access beyond the 12th fret.

Fusion Neck Offers a Familiar Feel

D'Angelico designed the Fulton's Fusion Neck to have a slimmer 48mm nut width and flatter 16" radius for a familiar feel, especially for steel-string players. The satin finish allows for a smooth, fast playing experience, while the slim shape provides comfort for players with smaller hands. The Fusion Neck helps make the transition between steel and nylon strings seamless.

im a live musician and a music producer and i play it a lot, with new and usage strings and it works very good, the sound is soft and its not that bright like other brands and the color and the Headstock is freaking beautiful, i love this guitar.

I'm very pleased with this guitar, especially for the money. I mainly use it for recording as a rhythm instrument, and love to put the pickup into one channel and use a mike just above the sound hole in the other channel. I find this guitar to be easy to play and pretty much maintenance free. I enjoy the tone of the guitar and am frankly surprised at its quality for the price.

First of all the guitar is beautiful to look at and I have always loved to look of the headstock on D'Angelico guitars. However this 12 string proved to be a nightmare to hold tune and I found the tone to be so so at best. Then one day I was at GC to buy strings when I wandered into the acoustic room and stumbled across a Mitchell Terra Series 12 string hanging on the wall. On a whim I took it down and gave it a strum and wow it blew my more expensive Fulton out of the water! In terms of playability and tone I found the Mitchell to be the better guitar and ended up buying that Mitchell and selling the Fulton. This being my experience I cannot recommend the D'Angelico at this time...

A very good guitar except for little knick knacks. This was a very good guitar, although straight from the factory the strings aren't very good. It is best to change them and re calibrate, the caliber is 10/47.

Very disappointed that the high (thin) G string pulled out of the nut while tuning it for the first time. It didn't break, it pulled out. The string was too short to re-string it. So I have a brand new 11-string guitar. Now I'll have to wait for new strings to arrive before christening my new Christmas gift... Add doesn't specify what strings are used in initial construction so I have to guess when ordering strings.

I bought this model, from just doing a little research on 6 or 7 different brands of 12 strings. I could have bought a more expensive guitar ,but opted for the d angelico.never even played one before.I recieved mine, in perfect condition.in fact ,it was double boxed. Right out of the boxes it played great, and sounded great.dont understand why a review or two, said it sounded like a toy.this is my 3rd 12 string ,so im well acustomed to 12 strings. This is a great guitar.ive been playing for roughly 35 years. Im sure a guitar that costs twice as much may play better, but im extremely happy with this d angelico.
