These recordings were made to showcase the differences tonal characteristics of Celestion's range of guitar speakers. To make this comparison as useful as possible, we've recorded three different guitar sounds or styles, "Clean", "Crunch" (two different samples) and "Distortion." 

For each style, exactly the same set-up has been used: same environment, same guitar, same riffs, same amplifiers (valve pre-amp and valve power amp), and amp settings, same cab, all with the same EQ. In all cases the mic location was identical, an SM57 located on-axis, but slightly off-centre. Any differences you hear are genuine differences in speaker tone.

Celestion Vintage 30: Distortion

Rock the blues with a 2010 Custom Shop Roadshow Relic '57 Stratocaster® (middle pickup selected). The Pro Junior III has an external speaker jack, which has been routed to a Super-Sonic® 212 cabinet with Celestion® Vintage 30 speakers. This setup is fun to play, expands the uses of the small 15-watt amp and fills the room with full-sounding tube tone.
