collapse expand iconDescription

The Yamaha MG06X is a 6-channel analog mixing console packed with professional features in an ultra-portable frame. Designed for live sound engineers and musicians on the go, the MG06X delivers the transparent sound quality and reliability that Yamaha is renowned for. At the heart of the MG06X are studio-grade discrete class-A D-PRE preamps which provide a pure, natural tone to shape as you see fit.

Discrete Class-A Preamps for Pristine Sound

The MG06X features Yamaha's renowned discrete class-A D-PRE preamps, which utilize an inverted Darlington circuit to provide more power with lower impedance. The result is a transparent, natural tone from your microphones and instruments so you have full control to build your mix from the ground up.

Powerful 3-Band EQ on All Channels

With a 3-band equalizer on each mono channel, the MG06X provides nuanced tonal control over every element of your mix. Tweak the highs, mids and lows of your vocals, instruments and more to achieve the perfect balance in your sound. A high-pass filter on each channel also allows you to remove unwanted low-frequency noise.

Built-In Digital Effects

To add depth and dimension to your mix, the MG06X features Yamaha's acclaimed SPX digital multi-effects processor with a selection of editable reverbs and delays. Enhance your vocals with reverb, create interesting rhythmic effects with delay or combine the two for lush, atmospheric sounds. With intuitive controls, dialing in your effects is fast and easy.

Road-Ready and Reliable

Despite its ultra-compact size, the MG06X is built to handle the rigors of live performance. A rugged metal chassis protects the components within while ensuring durability and reliability night after night. For maximum portability, the MG06X can operate on battery or AC power.

A great little mixer

I really like this product. I'm a stay-at-home alto sax player. This mixer sits between my laptop and a PA. It makes me sound good! Used to have a Behringer 802, but after several years, the right channel dropped out. That turned out to be my lucky stroke, however, 'cause it got me into the store, where I found this Yamaha unit, which I actually like better. It's smaller, looks good, and has all the features I need. I do agree with the other reviewer, however: The power cord is not very substantial, but hey: I won't be moving this mixer around very much, so it's no big deal. Also, I want to say that I appreciate the sales guy at my local Guitar Center. He was very helpful and professional.

A fair purchase

My mixer took a dump at my gig last night and I had to run across the street and nab this from the store. I do a one man show with an acoustic and voice. Compared to the Harbinger I had it was more difficult to get a great sound, mostly due to the lack of a mid control on any channel, which would help from frequencies overlapping. It also clipped on channel two (my guitar) quite a lot. I tried adjusting both the gain and the level accordingly to get it to stop clipping, but it didn't help much. Both gain and level were set below unity/12 o clock. I don't use the Effects but I tried it and it didn't work anyways. So maybe don't expect that from this unit. All in all I feel there are probably better mixers on the market for the price or less and my Harbinger sounded better than this while it lasted (5 years). I love Yamaha stuff but have never had very good luck with their mixers throughout the years. That's probably the only product line from Yamaha that I can't fully recommend.

I'm running a Supro Amulet off this . 2 subwoofer 18" 15," and four 12" and 30 channel equalizer. 2 words, loud and clear. Sound comes from all direction. This little unit does a fantastic job, controls are extremely simple. Has 3 delay and 3 Reverb settings with a fine-tuning knob. Thanks for the quick shipping and great customer service.

  • YES IT's WORTH IT.

Great for condensing gear to a party plug this into your powered speakers to fine tune your microphones with effects and no to extremely low noise. Super compact but with a great punch. Pre amp gain will raise volume decibels up to 25%.

  • It's pretty good mixer sounds good.

It has nice clean sound and almost a classic rock sound I think such as Dion and the Belmonts and the effects are nice and sound good and like the mono feature. I think Yamaha should also make a version more similar to the MG10 series and have both units available to purchase.

  • Great sound equipment
