Bought this guitar for my daughter. then, I discovered a more expensive Fender guitar on sale and exchanged the Yamaha for the Fender. Big mistake! The Yamaha was way, way better. So, I swapped the guitars back again. This Yamaha is simply great! #sweepstakes

I have been so impressed with the Yamaha FG800J Acoustic Guitar. I was visiting guitar center and was looking at other guitars and I saw this one. Played on it and instantly fell in love. FG800J is made in Indonisia and size Jumbo vs normal size of FG800. The sound is as expected and outstanding as a guitar from Yamaha priced in less than 250$ range. I play daily and by far for 2 weeks, overall it is really good. the only thing i notice is the 6th string (thinnest one), the distance between string and the freboard is less than the normal. i am not sure if this is due to temporature change in southern calif. summer. Will keep an eye on this but hope it will return to normal distance soon.
