Description
Washburn's Deep Forest Ebony Ace acoustic-electric guitar bridges the gap between tradition and innovation. Featuring a striking striped ebony top, okoume back and sides and an Auditorium cutaway body, the Deep Forest Ebony Ace delivers a robust, well-balanced tone with ample low-end and shimmering highs. Its solid mahogany neck and comfortable nut width make the Ebony Ace a joy to play. The onboard Barcus Berry LX4 preamp system provides a natural plugged-in tone with integrated tuner for stage-ready performance. The Deep Forest Ebony Ace is ready to inspire your musical creativity.
Striped Ebony Top Produces Rich, Nuanced Tone
The Deep Forest Ebony Ace's exotic striped ebony top yields a tone with unparalleled depth, warmth and clarity. Ebony is prized for its dense, resonant qualities and the striped ebony top provides a complex harmonic palette with articulate lows, ringing highs and balanced mids. Chords ring out with piano-like clarity while single notes bloom with sustain.
Okoume Back and Sides Add Brightness and Sparkle
The guitar's okoume back and sides complement the ebony top beautifully, adding a touch of brightness for extra shimmer and sparkle. Okoume produces a focused, punchy tone that helps each note cut through with definition. The pairing of ebony and okoume results in a versatile, inspiring tone suited for a variety of musical styles.
Auditorium Cutaway Body Delivers Comfort and Projection
The Deep Forest Ebony Ace features a stylish Auditorium cutaway body for a comfortable playing experience with enhanced projection. The cutaway provides easy access to upper frets while the Auditorium body produces a balanced, full tone. Ergonomic contours make the Ebony Ace a delight to play during long practice or performance sessions.
Plug In and Perform with Onboard Barcus Berry Preamp
When it's time to take the stage, the Deep Forest Ebony Ace delivers a natural acoustic tone thanks to its Barcus Berry LX4 preamp system with onboard tuner. The LX4 provides a full, vibrant tone with 4-band EQ to shape your sound. An onboard tuner ensures you're in tune for every performance. The preamp runs on a single 9V battery for convenience.

Purchased at my local GC store. Can't beat the price. Love the the look of the guitar the striped ebony looks cool with the flat black finish. It has a nice amount of mid range and lower bass tones not usually found on a guitar at this price point. The fretboard is also striped ebony and the okume back and sided I believe add to the really deep tone of this guitar. The tuners are your generic ping style tuner but they work smoothly and keep the guitar in tune. Plugged in it sounds good very natural and the onboard tuner and electronics work as should. The cons of this guitar are the frets are sharp at some spots and could have been dressed better the nut and saddle are simply plastic and there's no strap button at the neck you have to install one as I did you'll want to replace the strings I replaced them with Ernie Ball 11's and what a difference in tone. But at this price the good far out weighs the cons. I'd buy it again. Also I went out and played a 3 hour show with it and got plenty of compliments honestly next to my partners lower end Martin I like mine much better.

I just bought one of these yesterday in a small town outside the park I was camping in and it is bang for the buck. Outside of the tuner, I havnt used the electronics yet so no comment there yet. But the modern feel and deep rich tone listed in the product description are spot on. The neck feels great, the tone is balanced but leans to the low end, however it projects really nice because of the cutaway. I took it back to my campsite and played by the fire for a few hours because of the comfort of play, and amazing sound. Absolute bang for your buck, highly recommend.
