Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline: Vintage Style, Modern Playability

The Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline is a tribute to the iconic semi-hollowbody design of the 1970s Telecaster Thinline. This limited-edition guitar combines the unmistakable look and sound of the original with modern enhancements, making it perfect for players who want vintage vibes with updated playability. Featuring Fender-designed Wide Range humbuckers, a lightweight semi-hollow body, and a sleek slim C-shaped neck, the Squier Thinline Telecaster offers a versatile tone and comfortable playing experience for guitarists of all levels.

Classic Tone With Fender-Designed Wide Range Humbuckers

The Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline is equipped with two Fender-designed Wide Range humbucking pickups, delivering the warm, full-bodied tone that defined the 70s Telecaster. These pickups provide plenty of output for rock, blues, and funk, while retaining the clarity and brightness Fender is known for. The 3-way pickup switch allows you to select the neck pickup, bridge pickup, or both, offering a range of tonal options for any style of music.

Built for Comfort and Playability

Designed with players in mind, the Squier Thinline Telecaster features a slim C-shaped neck profile that feels comfortable in your hands, making long playing sessions easier. The semi-hollow body design not only reduces weight but also enhances resonance, giving the guitar a lively and open sound. The vintage-style bridge with barrel saddles and string-through-body construction provides solid tuning stability and precise intonation, making this Thinline Tele a joy to play.

Vintage-Inspired Details

The Squier Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Thinline stays true to its roots with retro-inspired appointments. The vintage-tint gloss finish on the neck gives it a slick, aged appearance, while the nickel-plated hardware adds a touch of authenticity. The 1970s-style headstock markings and vintage-style tuning machines complete the look, ensuring this guitar captures the essence of the original 70s Telecaster while maintaining rock-solid performance.

Excellent guitar at most price points

I saw this guitar at the local GC and loved it immediately. I love black on maple fretboards and white with black guards. The only thing that could makes this guitar look better, IMO, is if it were a trans finish like a 50s CV. The bigger headstock would have been cool, as well. I do love the vintage style tuning machines though. The guitar I purchased is incredibly harmonic both plugged in and unplugged. Snappy and smooth. The pickups have girth but remain articulate. Very versatile. Plays nicely with overdrive as well. The neck and frets feel great. Very nicely set up. I'm not sure what this "milk white" color other reviewers are referring to is, but it looks Olympic white to me. Of course, original Olympic white was barely off white. People seem to think it was creamy. It wasn't. The clear coats discolor with age giving the finished a yellowed patina. I have a few "white" telecasters. This one may be the whitest of them, but it is definitely not stark white like Arctic White. I love mine and it makes a nice addition to my small Tele collection.

Squire 70s thineline

I love this guitar. The tone is fantastic, neck feels smooth. Wiring isn't bad, doesn't need upgraded unless you really want to. The one I purchased does have a ton of uneven frets. Because of this i do have my action much higher than I'd like and not all of the buzz is out on the higher frets yet. If you're planning on just strumming and having fun. No worries with this guitar. If you're a little more serious, even as a hobbie. Plan on doing some fret work or finding a good luthier. If it weren't for the frets needing worked on this would be a 5/5.

I'm not sure what it was about this guitar that made me buy it but I did and it has become my favorite go-to guitar. I have top of the line Fender Telecasters and Strats and prefer this one. The feel of the neck is great and the sound is top notch. It is now my gigging guitar.

I am honestly surprised at how well the set up was on this squire. I've never owned a sguire but wanted a telecaster in my collection. I've played it more in two weeks than all my other players combined. The action, frets and neck relief were all perfect upon arrival.

This is Squier's best and priced right - not too cheap (so you know you're getting quality) and not too expensive (great for places where I would not want to take my American Pro Strat) Built in Fender's Indonesian plant (good quality control there). Outstanding output and tone , real maple neck, Fender humbucker pickups. My guitar teacher was impressed trying it out.

  • Great guitar. I'd buy again.

I wasnt really looking for an inexpensive guitar. I was just fooling around at GC. A friend handed a Slimline to me and says, "check this out". I did and really liked the feel. So I bought it! No regrets. Set it up for easy fingering. Sounds good too.

It's fantastic! I did mod mine, but probably didn't need to. It played fantastic and the pickups sound pretty good with some adjustments. I pick it up often to play, because it just sounds awesome. For the money this guitar will put a smile on your face.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7.5 – 9.0 lbs. It's about 42" long.
