Description
Equally impressive is that all this performance comes in such a lightweight and user-friendly package, making transporting and setting up the K12.2 almost effortless. But don’t be fooled by its portability—the K12.2 packs a chest-pounding punch and is built tough to withstand the rigors of professional use. Thanks to QSC’s high-grade materials and uncompromising workmanship, this speaker is designed for unwavering reliability, and is more than willing to take whatever punishment you can dish out.
This lightweight enclosure hits that sweet spot for live performers, mobile DJs and other entertainers where maximum power and clean sound at high volumes merge with portability and convenience. Superbly flexible, the K12.2’s onboard DSP and 11 preset EQ contours let you adapt to any venue and get your sound dialed in quickly. You can also store customized scenes to recall settings such as input type, delay, EQ and crossover. The speaker's bass-oriented "dance" and "live sound" DSP presets deliver more power to the low end when you need a stronger punch in the absence of a subwoofer.
With so much power under the hood, the K12.2 is perfectly suited for FOH as well as stage monitoring. In fact, there's a unique DSP setting that's specifically designed for using the K12.2 as a monitor. But if you're running a set of K12.2s as mains paired with a QSC subwoofer for extra low-end reinforcement, you'll have a killer setup that can effortlessly handle a wider range of events and venues.
Heavy-duty rigging points mean the K12.2 easily adapts to both flown and mounted installations. Whether you're a mobile DJ or a live performer, the K12.2 is an indispensable and versatile tool that lives up to QSC's reputation for quality and reliability.

Features
- 2,000W Class-D amplification module with 8,000W peak paired with a 12" low-frequency driver, 1.4" titanium diaphragm compression high-frequency driver for full, powerful, dynamic performance whether used as a stage or recording monitor or as a traditional loudspeaker
- Monochrome LCD display lets you easily adjust the 4-band EQ, Delay (for rear fill applications), Save Scenes, Recall Scenes and adjust Presets
- Advanced DSP with 11 EQ presets, including DEFAULT (normal voicing), LIVE (live sound reinforcement, vocal clarity), LIVE BRIGHT (high-frequency boost), DANCE (Low-/high-frequency emphasis), STAGE MONITOR 1 (reduces excessive bass build-up on stage), STAGE MONITOR 2 (adds low-frequency reproduction for monitoring), AC GUIT/VOX (for acoustic guitars & vocals), BASS AMP (for directly connected bass instruments), HAND MIC (for speeches, feedback reduction when using a handheld mic), HEAD MIC (same but for headset mics), STUDIO MON (for when using as a recording monitor)
- Impact-resistant ABS enclosure with threaded inserts for mounting, and powder-coated grille with internal cloth lining keeps it safe from the rigors of transport and constant indoor or outdoor usage

QSC K Series Legacy Continued
I've always been a QSC guy -- Started out with the OG K10's, added 2 KW181 subs, and then eventually upgraded the K10's to KW153's due to the growing size of the events I DJ. I love the 153's and they are amazing speakers, but they are complete overkill for house parties and smaller events, not to mention the difficulty for me to move them in/out and get them up on stands by myself. Enter the K12.2's: a perfect blend of power and portability. My main apprehension about buying them was the new design. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked some of the changes they had made (using 2 pole cups, smaller rubber feet, new on board menu) but it's hard to judge a speaker looking at it online and in bad YouTube videos, so I made the leap trusting that QSC toiled over every change and innovated in a way that would continue the K series legacy, and boy did they. These babies are everything I needed, wanted, and hoped for. Bottom line, if you are in a similar situation, they're definirely worth the money. If you have the original K series though, I would probably hang on to them because they are still pretty similar. One quirk to note, for the past few months, I had been checking availability online and waiting for it to say that these speakers were in stock at my local guitar center, but it always said they weren't. When I eventually called, they said they had them in stock and when I went into the store, they had tons of them. Not sure if it's a website glitch or if they are just selling faster than the availability status can be updated, but don't trust the online stock count.

Returned them disappointed
I have used the gen 1 k12s for years Finally upgraded to the k12.2 Found out after more research and at a gig they will go into protection mode if signal from source is too high. QSC said do to the amount of repairs in the past this new protection mode will save the warranty department on the amount of repairs. Problem is I got half the volume out of the k12.2 as I did with the originals before they shut down and then had to be powered down and back on again. Keep in mind I have pro gear and have ran multiple k12s gen one the past 8 years and not one issue. Very disappointed and was a QSC fan but am looking into something new. Not to mention the price increase in the last two months nearly 500$ for the ks118 I will spend elsewhere unfortunately. Do Your research!

So the flexibility of this series is great. I've had a chance to use it's many features, live, and it does great! I've used it as a monitor for live performance. Bass amp. Speech. And even DJ music... Wow! I will admit, before I updated it, it froze on me and had to be restarted. I think the update fixed that problem. I bought a second one, because I wanted some dependable speakers (knock on wood, these will last). I used one in a small theater, that seated about 300 people, for vocals and music and BOOM way louder than the house sound system. I've heard people complain about this series, but again, I've had great experiences so far and I'm honestly hoping for the best with them.
Best speakers ever I will recommend

I need to fly 4 of these. Is there a special kit (shown in the video)? Should I fly them vertical or horizontal (as in the video)?
Ideally these should be transported vertically but would be fine in a horizontal position as well.
