Description
The Moog Labyrinth semi-modular synthesizer is an innovative instrument that generates intricate textures and rhythms. With dual generative sequencers, it creates unique melodic and percussive patterns that evolve over time for mesmerizing results. You can shape these sequences to your liking, playing them off one another to form polymetric layers or using them as a backdrop for your own playing. Equally suited as a standalone instrument or as part of a modular setup, the Labyrinth inspires creativity in the studio or on stage.
Robust Synthesis Engine
At the core of the Labyrinth are classic analog synth components like voltage-controlled oscillators, a ring modulator and a noise generator. These feed into a wavefolder for rich harmonic complexity and a state-variable filter that sweeps from lowpass to bandpass. Voltage-controlled amplifiers allow dynamic control of levels. The result is an unconventional yet timeless Moog sound perfect for crafting drones, basses, leads or anything in between.
Generative Sequencers Create Evolving Patterns
The Labyrinth features two independent eight-step sequencers that generate rhythmic and melodic patterns using an element of chance. These sequences twist and turn around each other, creating intricate polyrhythms and textures. As the sequences repeat, they evolve gradually over time, blossoming into new variations. You can control the scale and tempo of this evolution, synchronizing the Labyrinth to analog clock signals or MIDI. The sequencers are ideal for providing a backdrop to play over or for crafting percussive and melodic layers on their own.
Comprehensive Patch Bay for Modular Connectivity
With 32 patch points, the Labyrinth integrates seamlessly into a modular setup. It provides 20 inputs and 12 outputs to channel signals in and out. You can sync the Labyrinth's sequencers to other gear, modulate its oscillators and filters with external control voltages or pass its sounds through effects pedals and modules. The patch bay allows creative routing possibilities when combined with Moog's Matriarch, Grandmother or DFAM in a single system.
Inspire Your Creativity
Whether you want to expand an existing modular rig, craft layered studio compositions or perform live electronic music, the Labyrinth synthesizer is a lightning rod for new ideas. With its innovative sequencers, classic Moog circuits and comprehensive patch bay, the Labyrinth guides you to discover fresh melodies, textures and rhythms.
