This limited-edition Ludwig Polar-Phonic brass snare drum celebrates the brass shell design that has been a part of the drumming world since the 1920s. It also commemorates a partnership that goes back to the very beginnings of Guitar Center. Ludwig and our drum team have collaborated once again to create an all copper-plated snare that delivers a softer, dry tone, along with a focused attack and controlled overtones. Starting with the legendary 1.2mm USA Seamless Brass shell drawn from one single piece of brass, the snare is then outfitted with all copper-plated hardware, including a pair of die-cast hoops for a voice that sits perfectly in any setting. Ludwig’s “Weather Master” heads round out the unit, with a coated 10-mil “Heavy” batter and clear side heads. Made in Monroe, North Carolina, the 14" Polar-Phonic brass snare drum is now available at Guitar Center.
