The same no-compromise attitude that gives the Fender Newporter Player acoustic-electric guitar its uniquely killer vibe extends to every aspect of its construction. It features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with laminated mahogany back and sides, optimized bracing for reduced mass and superior resonance, a Graph Tech NuBone nut and saddle for greater sustain, and a Fishman preamp system that makes it easy to plug in without sacrificing the guitar's natural sound. Its lightweight mahogany neck features a comfortable, easy-to-play, slim taper C-shaped profile suitable for any playing style, and its walnut fingerboard and bridge further augment this instrument's vibrant tone. It is also equipped with a FIshman CD-1 preamp to ensure your plugged-in performances shine as well. With its superb playability, distinctive looks and unmistakable Fender vibe, the Fender Newporter Player is an instrument that proudly defies acoustic instrument tradition.

Very bright sounding guitar with a comfortable neck, build quality is pretty decent. Definitely not as much presence in the lower notes compared to other acoustics in this price range but personally I really like the brightness in the higher notes. I would recommend. Rather pretty looking too.

  • I would buy this again, great buy for the price.

I'm a bass player and just wanted to try some simple guitar. This came highly recommended by the GC staff at Hickory Corners. It is easy to play out of the box and sounds great, looks great also. Fender acoustics are far underrated.

I bought this guitar about a month ago. Sounds amazing but when I plug it in it sounds very tinny. When I got it I did replace the strings with Ernie Ball Earthwood Extra Light 80/20 Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings. Could that be the issue?

I don't think the strings are an issue. Did you play it before you changed the strings?

Hi. I just bought this guitar. I assume it is acoustic / electric. I see the Knobs on top. Where do I plug it in? I am new to this.
