The latest evolution of the iconic Fender Telecaster, this American Professional II Telecaster with maple fingerboard brings professional-level appointments to elevate your playing.

Fender American Professional II Telecaster Maple V-Mod II Pickups

Classic Alder Body

The lightweight alder body creates a classic foundational tone. With a smoothly rolled fingerboard edge and a satin neck finish, it's an incredibly comfortable guitar to play.

Fender American Professional II Telecaster Maple Neck

Fast-Playing Maple Neck

The satin-finished maple neck feels slick and fast. The modern Deep C neck profile is comfortable for all playing styles. Narrow-tall frets provide a familiar feel for bends and vibrato, while facilitating effortless fretting. The sculpted neck heel allows unimpeded access to the upper frets.

Fender American Professional II Telecaster Maple V-Mod II Pickups

Twang, Redefined

The V-Mod II Telecaster pickups provide the crisp tone Telecasters are known for—plus even tighter bass, richer mids and smoother highs. These articulate pickups make harmonics sing, and accentuate the snap and snarl. Single notes are round and full, while chordal playing is punchy and defined.

Fender American Professional II Telecaster Maple Bridge

Enhanced Bridge

The new top-load/string-through bridge with compensated “bullet” saddles provides excellent intonation and a variety of setup options. It retains the classic brass saddle tone, while allowing you to tailor the tension and tone of each string to your liking.

Instantly familiar but subtly enhanced, this American Pro II Tele guitar is an excellent choice for guitarists seeking a versatile and comfortable electric with bold and articulate tone.

I've been a Strat guy forever but just had to add that great Telecaster sound to my guitar collection. This beautiful Butterscotch Blonde American Professional II Tele plays great and sounds better!

So I've been looking at telecasters for a while now.And I decided to lay my money down on a Maui.Blew with a Maple neck, American professional 2.Telecaster. I didn't take this purchase lightly as this is an expensive guitar. So let me talk about the pros of this guitar. 1) it's not reliced I would have seriously lost many years ago if I had bet on whether or not someone will buy a banged up new guitar. But fender sells a lot of them so what do I know, other that I ain't buying one. Anyway this one ain't relic-ed it looks new fresh clean well made ready you you to but your own relic m marks on it. The real ones where you say darrn-it every time you ad a new one. I want a replica of Bard Paisleys Tele when it was new, not after he beat the crop or of it. 2) it feels good very good neck shape just feels good in your hand, fender really nailed it for this neck. 3) good sound. The salesman recommended upgrading, but they sound great to me. 4) it's made in the USA, yea that still matters, Thank you to team fender in Corona California.

I've been playing guitar for over 10 years, I've played hundreds of guitars and basses I'm in 3 bands and play a lot, the playability, the sound and function of this guitar is simply unmatched. There is a reason fender is at the top of the guitar chain even after all these years. You need this guitar

  • Amazing neck, pickups not for me

This guitar feels great, fit and finish are excellent, very playable. The deep C neck is noticeably different than a modern C (I have a couple) and to my hand is even better. If you are coming from a player or standard, another difference you may notice are the frets. Narrow tall on this one, medium jumbo on the player/standard. Medium jumbo are a bit smoother when sliding but narrow tall for me are like a landmark. I know how far I'm going, if not instinctively, then by feel. The setup off the wall was good. I only tweaked the truss rod a bit, as I do with every guitar, no other adjustments. The pickups to my ear are a bit sterile and will be changed. The bridge does have a proper tele spank in the highs but the mids are underwhelming across the board. And the push-push to have the pickups in series saps the treble considerably. I considered returning/exchanging at length but everything else about the guitar, especially the neck, is just that good. I'll change pickups and call it a day. Also note this butterscotch version has a pine body and is especially lightweight.

I've had one for about 1.5 years. It's a very raw guitar that inspires me when I play. The tone is fantastic and the neck plays great. I replaced the tortoiseshell with a black pickguard which I think looks better. I also added Fender locking tuners for easier string installation. One thing to note is that it has rolled edges on the neck which can be quite slippy for the two E strings, especially the top one. I've had to adjust my playing to account for this. I can't speak enough about the tone. The guitar sounds amazing. One of my favorite guitars.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 9.0 lbs.........No

Durability is not a concern. You won't wear out a fretboard. The difference is sound and feel.

the nut width is 1.685" (42.8 mm), and the frets are narrow tall so they aren't as thick as medium jumbo but they are roughly as high.
