For over half a century, Fender has worked tirelessly to refine their guitars to the detailed specifications of busy professional bassists and the American Professional II Jazz Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Limited Edition is no exception. Come get your hands on one of the hottest jazz basses available in the music marketplace today. This bass has stood the test of time and its evolution was modified by loyal, Fender-loving professionals who know which of their favorite features achieve the class Fender jazz bass sound. The American Professional II Jazz bass was produced in Fender’s Custom Shop and hand-crafted to a few customized features that set this bass apart from all the rest.

Essential Features that Fender Enthusiasts Love

The 34-inch scale-length American Pro II jazz bass offers a lightweight alder body, bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard, all of which are essential upgrades that produce rich harmonies and a bold but bright resonating low-end. Fender used their popular C-shaped neck with a rounded edge for a comfortable grasp. The rosewood fretboard features pearloid dots markers between frets. Bassists appreciate the contoured neck heel with a welcoming, satin finish that offers easy access to the entire rosewood fretboard. This stunning bass has a two-toned black and silver pickguard inlay with three graduated-sized control knobs for individual volume, master volume and tone, followed by the simple 1/4” input jack.

Tried-And-True Mechanics that Bassists Trust

Fender dressed the American Professional II Jazz bass with their revamped V-Mod II Jazz Bass single-coil pickups that produce highly articulate and clean melodic phrases while also delivering a hearty, low-end punch. The American Pro II Jazz bass harnesses the familiar Fender bass sound and tone versatility that players have grown accustomed to.

I like the sound of good jazz bass. This one has a very mellow sounds as I had it restrung with D'Addario X strings as I like the sound of those strings with the basses pickups. It came well setup. The front and bridge pickups sound the way a j bass pickups should sound. Well pleased with the purchase

I purchased this bass about a year ago and I love this thing. It came with a very nice setup from GC. I ordered it as an excellent condition used bass and it has not disappointed me. This week is the first time I've put new strings on it, and I decided to try some light gauge strings [40 60 80 100] and she plays like butter and sings like an angel. As part of the string replacement due to the lighter gauge, I did a full fresh setup with truss rod tightening, set the action slightly lower, and did intonation, and I couldn't be happier. This is a great bass, and mine came with a really nice case. In celebration of the string change I just purchased a new sansamp! :)
