"Worst Pedal in the Case,"
I made the mistake of going into my local Guitar Center, here in Boston, to get a new fuzz/distortion pedal. I had two or three pedals in mind, none of which were in stock, saw the EH (They won't let me use the "M" word, that ends in two Fs) Metal pedal and really wanted it. Had a hard time getting any employees to notice I was there; told the one person who looked at me I wanted to buy the EH Metal pedal, he says "Worst Pedal In The Case!"" Asked him why, he said the Noise Gate (I don't want or need a noise gate on a distortion pedal) was bad, and it wasn't a good sounding Fuzz. If you want to hit your amp's input with a heavy signal, this thing rules. I've been using it through my DAW, with a really good emulation of a Silver Jubilee Marshall head. This pedal, with a Dunlop Dime Bag Wah, sounds amazing. If you want crazy Metal sounds, this pedal, minus the noise gate, Rules, I wish I had just ordered it online, instead of going into the Guitar Center on Mass Ave, because the kids who work there are rude and stupid. The only complaint I have about this pedal is that the knobs are very small, which makes subtle adjustments very hard. Other than that, it has tons of crazy Metal sounds, the EQ section is great, but again, small knobs make fine adjustments hard.. Love the Metal sounds this pedal makes, would give it Five Stars if it had bigger knobs, that made fine adjustments easier...

I would not recommend for two broken in one week
I wouldn't recommend there's a lot of room to fix this I got one and it broke the first day so I decided to call and they sent another and this one also broke so I decided to get a refund and invest in a better distortion

Definitely surprised by this pedal. Use the same thing for both Fender Telecaster and ESP Viper, both sound amazing. Definitely distortion, not fuzz. The gate is useful, Controls are sensitive so a little goes a long way. Only gripe is the dials are stiff and too close together.
Good pedal my son loves it

Got this pedal today and its metal! Did my research beforehand and to be honest only got this because the Empress Heavy Menace is not in stock, anywhere. Yes I could of ordered one, but I don't have the patience. In regards to the Metal Muff, good pedal for the price.

My favorite music is hard rock from the 70"s and 80's. I love the crunchy sound and shredded leads. The Metal Muff captures that tone. Gives the boost that lets the EVH style hammer ons, pull offs, and tapping ring out. So much fun to shred along with a backing track or something looped. Great price for what you get!
