Open Box D'Angelico Premier Series Gramercy CS Cutaway Orchestra Acoustic-Electric Guitar Level 2 Vintage Natural 197881288518

Description
The D'Angelico Premier Gramercy CS is an innovative single-cutaway orchestra acoustic-electric guitar. Featuring a solid spruce top, laminated ovangkol back and sides and an onboard preamp and tuner, the Gramercy CS strikes a balance between warmth, articulation and playability. Its slim, C-shape neck and cutaway provide comfort for developing and accomplished musicians alike.
Solid Spruce Top Radiates Resonance
The Gramercy CS's solid spruce top helps produce a resonant, balanced tone with crisp highs and rich lows. Spruce is a popular choice for acoustic tops thanks to its ability to vibrate freely. The Gramercy CS's spruce top, combined with its ovangkol back and sides, creates an instrument with a clear, piano-like quality in the highs, supportive midrange, and controlled low end.
Onboard Electronics Provide Plugged-In Performance
The Gramercy CS features D'Angelico's MG-30 preamp and tuner, allowing players to plug in for live shows or recording. The preamp's three-band EQ provides tonal control, while the tuner ensures precise intonation. Together, these electronics make the Gramercy CS gig and studio ready straight out of the case.
Cutaway Design Delivers Playability
The Gramercy CS's single cutaway provides unimpeded access to higher frets. Its C-shape neck and 14" fretboard radius also enhance playability for a range of playing styles. Whether you prefer chords, lead lines or fingerstyle, the Gramercy CS accommodates with its versatile and ergonomic design.
Premium Appointments Complete the Package
The Gramercy CS features premium details like a cream binding, mother-of-pearl rosette and fretboard inlays, and gold die-cast tuners. A durable ovangkol bridge and nut provide stable intonation and action. All told, the Gramercy CS looks, plays and sounds like an instrument that costs far more.

Pretty Guitar, Small Issues
I went into GC to buy a nice Guild I've been eyeing. Unfortunately that guitar had some issues that I didn't want to deal with when buying a new guitar. The D'Angelico brand has never been on my radar, and I saw this one for < $500, and thought it looked beautiful hanging up. Action was set nicely, neck felt good, and the for the price, sounds nice. Some of the issues with it - the nut is put on about a mm to far down, leaving a mm worth of plastic nut hanging off the fret board. Strings are fine/straight, nut is a cosmetic issue more than anything. I plan on putting a nicer bone nut on anyway. I love the satin neck. Feels good in my hand when moving up/down the fretboard. Much like my Silver Sky SE, I think I'd pick nice satin necks over gloss finish any day. Small issues on the neck are two small blemishes. You can feel them around the 3rd and 5th frets on the backside of the neck. Just need to sand it down a little better. Other than those couple of issues - for the money - you get a guitar that looks extremely pricey and plays/sounds very good for the money. Recommended for anyone between a beginner and intermediate player

Quality issues
The guitar looks awesome, it looks like thousand dollar guitars however the quality check is failed on manufacturer side. The first one, the truss rod wasnt stable, returned it, the second one had issue with fretboard and it can't be fixed via truss rod. I switched to another brand. Thanks again for awesome support from Guitar Center

I went into my local GC to buy a guild 12 string I've been looking at for about a month, saw this discounted by 20% and went out with it, last one they had. No regrets the guitar plays very nicely, better than some Martins and Taylors I tried. No fret buzz besides the third on the low E sting but its irregular so I think its me. Overall 10/10 would recommend!!!

Great playability, resonant sound, and attractive. Rivals guitars twice its price. I use it to gig and the pickup is excellent. Has a built in tuner.

The D'Angelico OM is a great instrument in its' price range. The setup makes playing easy and the C profile neck is perfect for chording with smaller hands. The sound is as good as most other expensive acoustic guitars. The finish is beautiful.

Just learning to play so the D,Angelico acoustic guitar was fine choice to start on. Just the look itself is what drew me to the guitar. The ease of playing on it has been very enjoyable. The sweet mellow sound of a good acoustic makes the process easier. Plus the on board tuner makes it easier. I forgot to add #sweepstakes when I filled this out for my Fender Strat so #sweepstakes
This is a great guitar.

This is my first real guitar after owning my starter guitar for about a year now and it is fantastic. The action is perfect and the tone is great. The built in tuner is also fantastic.

Is this guitar a good fit for small hands
That's hard to say without trying it. It has a C profile and a 14" radius which is relatively flat. This is good for smaller hands.submitted2 years ago
