Achieve Pristine Sound Quality With 18 Midas Mic Preamps
At the core of the X AIR X18 are 16 Midas-designed mic preamps, praised by audio engineers worldwide for their ultralow noise and high headroom. The preamps enable you to capture performances with lifelike dynamics and clarity. Each input channel also provides low-cut filters, parametric EQs, gates and compressors for sculpting sounds exactly how you want them.
Record Directly to Your Computer via USB
The bi-directional USB interface makes recording with the X AIR X18 a breeze. Send up to 16 microphone signals and MIDI data to your DAW over the lightning-fast USB connection. At the same time, you can dial in zero-latency monitoring mixes complete with studio-grade effects. Capture inspired performances without compromise.
Shape Your Sound With Premium Effects
Onboard the X AIR X18 are four effects engines based on the acclaimed FX in the X32 console. Use vintage reverbs like the Lexicon 480L and rich delays to add depth and texture to your mix. The effects run inside the low-latency X32 environment, ensuring flawless performance as you experiment.
Automix Multiple Mics With Gain Sharing
When using multiple open mics, the X AIR X18's Gain Sharing technology maintains consistent gain structure automatically. Reduce feedback and noise when speakers are close together on stage or in an interview setting. Just select the mics you want to group and Gain Sharing makes the levels work smoothly.

Other than the Wi-Fi dropping out, this is a 10. Easy to get a good sound with basic presets, but you can get deeper into editing if you want to. Watch some videos to get the hang of it, and you can experiment I was happy that I downloaded the program as soon as I placed the order, and then, when the mixer arrived, I had a decent working knowledge of the mixer. A $20 router fixed the Wi-Fi issue, but still kept it from getting 5 stars. I was a huge holdout about going digital. I like knobs! Althoug knobs are still faster, the increased flexibility far outweighs that downfall. Having the processing capability of racks of equipment in a 10# unit is huge. No conventional mixer in this price range comes close. One thing that is kind of weird is that you still need a PC to set up certain things, like an external router. The PC program (x-air edit) is also a powerhouse, and I think it's good to have a hard-wired unit available if there's ever a doubt about signal strength. Cat-5 cable is cheap, so you can run it out to FOH position, have the router by the mains, and have the reliability of a wired snake, and the benefits of wireless. Just buy it.
Best Purchase of 2018 for my DJ Business

Purchased this Digital Mixer to upgrade from analog as that is where technology is headed. I was caught between this X18 or the XAir 18 Rack mount model. Both the same but one being a table top model and the other being rack mount. Both have built in wifi, controllable with an ipad, I can use if for DJing or for running sound for a small band. The best thing about it next to the wireless capabilities is the AMAZING SOUND QUALITY that comes out of this. WOW!! My powered speakers and subs have never sounded so good and rich, very vibrant, a true professional sound,,,my voice quality has never been so crystal clear. The XAir Ap is so easy to use, truly the best purchase of 2018 for me. I will be buying another one for my second mobile dj set up. Amazing!

Its amazing! It operates from my iPad. Light weight, compact, 16 inputs that accept 1/4 inch or XLR and 17/18 for stereo RCA. The sound is fantastic. It works through a built in router that pairs up with an iOS or android device. The app has all the bells and whistles so it is a little complex to master but it is worth it. The app is free and for less than $500 you get a digital mixing board that is at least as good as the Mackie or better for less than 1/2 the price.
i would recommend this product for churches, or bands

We use this at our church and for the money, this can't be beat. I recommend buy a touch screen laptop to operate it. A couple of reasons why a lap top or tablet with an external keyboard is best: 1. when adjusting gains, it is easiest to double click the number, and type in what you want and hit enter, this is soooo simple! you can adjust it with your finger, but its pretty sensitive and you may adjust it too high or too low. 2. Having a keyboard makes it really easy to label each channel. We plan on buying the 32x in the future when it is necessary but this board has no flaws, especially if you need 18 channels! Purchase it :-)
Wow!

I've only had it a week and I love it. Clean, quiet sound, user friendly and plenty of headroom on the pre's. I'm still diving into the effects but so far the compressor seems a bit lacking, this may change as I get into it more. Really enjoying so far.
