The 2600 analog semi-modular synthesizer from Behringer conjures up the timeless tones that defined the progressive rock, synth pop and electronic music of the 1970s and '80s. With a pure analog signal path authentically based on the legendary 2600's circuitry from the '70s, the 2600 gives you the power to recreate those iconic sounds or design your own original tones. The semi-modular architecture provides versatility to start playing right away or fully customize the signal routing with patch cables.

Versatile Voltage-Controlled Oscillators

At the heart of the 2600 are three voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) that offer an inspiring array of creative flexibility. The VCOs can generate classic waveforms like square, triangle, saw, sine and pulse. You can even patch in different waveforms to customize the timbre. Any VCO can be switched to operate as a low-frequency oscillator for modulation effects. The multi-mode voltage-controlled filter (VCF) mixes and filters the VCOs with integrated resonance control to dial in your signature sound.

Extensive Range of Modules and Effects

To expand the sonic capabilities, the 2600 provides an incredible range of modules and effects. Use the ring modulator or sample and hold to create radical, transforming textures. The lag processor adds glide effects, while the envelope follower converts audio into a control signal to modulate parameters. An authentic-sounding digital spring reverb immerses your music in space. Dedicated low-frequency oscillators with pulse and sine waves deliver powerful modulation.

Craft Expressive Passages With Dynamic Envelope Generators

The ADSR and AR envelope generators give you the tools to make your playing more dynamic and emotive. Tweak the Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release controls to shape the articulation of notes. Use the Time Factor switch to alter the envelope curve for percussive, short passages or long, evolving tones. The voltage-controlled amplifier section lets you set initial gain and route signals with advanced tonal control.

Process External Audio and Control Voltages

On top of its own capabilities, the 2600's modules can manipulate and effect external audio as well. The built-in preamp lets you route signals from instruments, vocals or other synths into the 2600's filter and effects. Control voltage inputs allow you to integrate expression pedals and other devices into the analog signal path. Recreate classic tracks or design the sounds of the future with the 2600 analog semi-modular synthesizer.
