Description
The Venture V3 delivers 300W via its Class-D power section—more than enough power to drive any of the Venture Series speaker cabinets or practically any other cab bassists may encounter on their travels. Featuring easy-to-use and intuitive controls, the Venture V3 offers an extensive array of tone-shaping tools, including a legacy preamp, 3-band EQ with sweepable Mids, Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches, and a Super Grit Technology (SGT) Overdrive circuit with SVT and B15 voicings. An effects loop, an XLR direct output, an AUX input and a Phones output enhance connectivity, as does the Neutrik speakON 1/4" combo output. All circuitry is analog except for the solid-state Class-D amplifier.
Add an optional AFS2 footswitch (sold separately) for remote control of the SGT overdrive and other functions and an optional heavy-duty padded Venture carrying bag (also sold separately) to protect your Venture V3.

After having a PF-350 go bad on me twice I got the Venture V3 to replace it. It made it through a few rehearsals before going completely defective. I was hoping Ampeg resolved this issue but its not the case. I have the warranty but it's not worth getting something unreliable fixed.
A good head is a good head.

Switched to this & the 2x12 cab in the middle of a tour playing 4k+ rooms. Very happy with the sound & wasn't worried about runners propping things. Handled great in a big room/oustide. If you have decent foh the wattage won't be a problem. Used in a small cub too, A+

After going thru 1 Ampeg PF800 & 2 Ampeg PF500's,(Fault Light Error!) I decided to give Ampeg another chance, since I love the tone and it was a new and improved product, With hesitance, I decided to buy it. An Ampeg Venture V3 300W head. I am a seasoned musician, I play bebop, latin jazz, funk. for the moment I've been jamming in my bedroom at a low volume (master@10:00 Gain@ 10:00) Well, sorry to say that this thing went out on me twice while i was jamming! Ampeg failed again! You can't depend on this at a gig!!
