collapse expand iconDescription

Designed to deliver the modern style and features sought by contemporary bassists, the ultraportable Ampeg Venture V3 is the smallest and lightest of the three heads in the Venture Series and easily fits into a gig bag, a laptop bag or the optional Venture carrying bag (sold separately), making it an ideal head for the traveling bassist.

The Venture V3 delivers 300W via its Class-D power section—more than enough power to drive any of the Venture Series speaker cabinets or practically any other cab bassists may encounter on their travels. Featuring easy-to-use and intuitive controls, the Venture V3 offers an extensive array of tone-shaping tools, including a legacy preamp, 3-band EQ with sweepable Mids, Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches, and a Super Grit Technology (SGT) Overdrive circuit with SVT and B15 voicings. An effects loop, an XLR direct output, an AUX input and a Phones output enhance connectivity, as does the Neutrik speakON 1/4" combo output. All circuitry is analog except for the solid-state Class-D amplifier.

Add an optional AFS2 footswitch (sold separately) for remote control of the SGT overdrive and other functions and an optional heavy-duty padded Venture carrying bag (also sold separately) to protect your Venture V3.

collapse expand iconWarranty

On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. After having a PF-350 go bad on me twice I got the Venture V3 to replace it. It made it through a few rehearsals before going completely defective. I was hoping Ampeg resolved this issue but its not the case. I have the warranty but it's not worth getting something unreliable fixed.

Switched to this & the 2x12 cab in the middle of a tour playing 4k+ rooms. Very happy with the sound & wasn't worried about runners propping things. Handled great in a big room/oustide. If you have decent foh the wattage won't be a problem. Used in a small cub too, A+

After going thru 1 Ampeg PF800 & 2 Ampeg PF500's,(Fault Light Error!) I decided to give Ampeg another chance, since I love the tone and it was a new and improved product, With hesitance, I decided to buy it. An Ampeg Venture V3 300W head. I am a seasoned musician, I play bebop, latin jazz, funk. for the moment I've been jamming in my bedroom at a low volume (master@10:00 Gain@ 10:00) Well, sorry to say that this thing went out on me twice while i was jamming! Ampeg failed again! You can't depend on this at a gig!!
