Zaytoven Creates on the Akai MPC with new Native Instruments Integration

Akai Pro MPC3 with Native Instruments Integration - Overview

MPC X Special Edition | Akai Professional

Description
Akai Professional MPC X Special Edition (SE) pays righteous tribute to the storied series synonymous with groove-based music production, achieving legendary status in electronic and hip-hop circles since MPC’s 1988 debut, and crossing over to music makers of all stripes. Featuring the original MPC60’s light-gray-and-red color scheme and font, the MPC X SE model is a proper celebration of MPC’s iconic legacy, while delivering even more cutting-edge functionality than the flagship standalone MPC X. In addition to everything that makes its immediate predecessor an outright production powerhouse, the MPC X SE boasts the MPC Instrument Collection, and even more memory and internal storage. The MPC X SE seamlessly integrates with Native Instruments’ Play Series instruments and Expansion libraries, giving producers instant access to a vast collection of world-class sounds. Designed with a tip of the hat to the look and feel of the original MPC60, it’s loaded to the brim with all the power needed to satisfy the demands of high-caliber, modern-day production.

Timeless Vibe Meets State of the Art
Akai Pro endows MPC X SE with some significant upgrades over the high-end MPC X, like 48GB of storage—16GB of which is dedicated to user storage—and 4GB of RAM for lightning-fast load times and supercharged sampling capabilities, along with a retro aesthetic refresh harkening to seminal, early MPC models. And considering it’s an MPC, what could be more nostalgic than offering artists the best available tools of the trade? MPC X SE’s 10.1" multi-gesture, full-color touchscreen interface is natively powered by MPC 2 Software for the ultimate standalone workflow. Alternatively, it works as a control surface for Mac and PC, using the same MPC 2 platform. Regardless of your preferred workflow method, you’ll have complete access to the MPC plug-in instrument collection, featuring over 25 instruments, including the Fabric XL Synthesizer.

Complete Control of Your Creative Space
MPC is famous for its ability to act as the centerpiece to any music production setup. MPC X SE takes that reputation a step further with its onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, untethering your setup for Ableton Link 3 functionality and high-speed data transfers. 2-in, 4-out MIDI I/O, plus eight 3.5 mm TS output jacks for driving modular and Eurorack devices, lets you control MIDI-enabled synths and keyboards via your MPC. Easily add audio via instruments and/or dynamic and condenser microphones via the two combination XLR/1/4" inputs with switchable phantom power. You could even add other line-level devices, like turntables for clean sample and loop collecting, via the RCA input with ground. And, of course, USB 3.0 gives you access to bus-powered USB controllers, storage devices, MIDI expanders, audio interfaces and other class-compliant gear.

Instrument Plug-ins, Sounds and Samples
MPC X SE comes with a comprehensive suite of plug-in instruments designed to inspire your creativity and performance. It features over 25 instruments, including the Fabric XL synthesizer and Stage EP keyboards, for a vast array of everything from grand pianos and chamber string quartets to pad synths and warm electro keyboards stacked with analog brass layers. The MPC platform also packs industry-leading sample expansion packs, featuring a heap of classic 808s, one-shot snares and kicks, loops and multi-velocity key group instruments. No matter the vibe you’re looking for, MPC X SE delivers with its impressive selection of sounds and samples.

Award-Winning Effects
With a growing collection of plug-ins, like dynamics and EQ signal processors, multi-effects and more, you can create fully mixed and mastered songs completely within the MPC X SE ecosystem. The AIR Vocal Suite adds rich harmony and offers real-time vocal tuning to recording and mixing sessions, while other plug-ins, like Half Speed, Stutter and Air Flavor, add a new sonic dimension to your music. A faithful homage to its legacy, the MPC X SE lets you pull up a selection of vintage MPC models, including the 60, 3000 and more. The Future of Standalone
MPC3 introduces a wide array of brand-new features, updates and improvements to enhance the MPC experience, allowing you to create and express your ideas in a faster and more intuitive workflow. Designed for fast and intuitive operation, MPC3 accelerates the legendary MPC workflow with new features, including Enhanced Main Mode, Linear Song Arranger, Studio Mixer, Advanced Keygroups, XL Channel Strip and much more.

Used in studio with multiple synths, this sequencer really rocks. Performance-wise, it's more capable than the non-SE model. The UI is more snappy and more responsive. Plenty of control at your fingertips. Sound quality is great. MPC workflow takes a bit to get used to, but is very intuitive.

Plain and simple. This machine is a fun to work with ! The q links, designated buttons and the extra ins and outs help my work flow significantly. This is a major upgrade for the MPC Live 2 and not looking back :D

Warning, AKAI is shipping defective units to guitar center, adn knows about it. they know the units are defective and there dumping them onto the customer. then they want you to run around and take the responsibility of absorbing the cost and time for rectifying the problem. they are ashipping defective and arriving defective. and AKAI is just not concerned with customer after-sales. I am supprised at this company for doing this but i guess when companies change direction so do thier concerns for product quality control.

I haven't used it very much because I bought a lot of equipment at the same time, so I've only made one beat on it and it was very user-friendly, especially for those who use mpc beat machines, it's like riding a bike,I'll do another update soon, til then, keep Jammin!
Cheap piece of crap connectors.
