Crafted for professional studios, project studios and educational facilities, the Origin provides 32 channels of SSL's signature analog sound, recallable settings, and a straightforward, hands-on workflow.

32 Channels of SSL Analog Circuitry

The Origin features 32 channels of SSL's renowned analog mic preamps, equalizers, mix busses, and monitoring circuitry. Each channel strip provides a wealth of analog processing for recording and mixing, including an SSL mic preamp, 4-band EQ with high and low pass filters, dynamics control, insert send and return, and mix and monitor bus assigns.

Total Recall and Automation

While the Origin embraces an analog signal path, it also provides the benefits of a modern digital console with recallable settings and automation. Scenes can store and recall EQ, dynamics, bus routing and insert settings for each channel, providing repeatable results and quick setups between sessions. The Origin also features SSL's Bus Compressor, with variable threshold, attack, release and ratio, which can be recorded into automation.

Versatile Monitoring and Metering

The Origin provides flexible monitoring with control room, studio and headphone outputs, as well as talkback communication. Each output features level control, dim, cut and mono functions. The console also includes bright, responsive LED metering for each channel, and selectable VU or PPM ballistics.

Rugged, Ergonomic Design

The Origin features an all-metal chassis and control surface built to handle the demands of professional studio use. Its sloped profile and color-coded, grouped channel strips provide an intuitive, hands-on mixing experience. Additional features include two independent studio feeds, multiple external inputs, dedicated talkback and oscillator controls, and individual channel mute, solo, insert in/out and direct out switches.
