Designed as an intermediate drum set, the Ludwig Element Evolution is everything an aspiring drummer needs to succeed. These drums feature 6-ply poplar shells for big, open tone and low, even overtones. Perfect for laying down fat rock backbeats.

The drum hardware includes triple-flange hoops and Keystone lugs. This outfit comes with double-braced hardware and Zildjian ZBT Cymbals to make this great for drummers of any age who are ready to take the next step. Throne and kick pedal are also included.

    We bought this as another house kit for our studio in addition to the Vdrums. Hardware & assembly was all pretty solid. The tom/kick heads are actually pretty decent. After mic'ing this bad boy up I was truly surprised at how good it sounds. ZBT cymbals are what they are. Fine. Personally I love the ZBT ride. sue me. The snare isn't great (but what factory set snare is?), but with different heads and a pro tuning, I got it in a pretty good spot. All in all, this is a terrific platform for an intermediate or higher drummer who is serious about playing. The several session guys who have tooled around on this have ALL raved about it.

    Use weekly with small group....use Roland electronic drums during week. Drums sound good but cymbal and snare stands are garbage. The lowest level key on each stand does not firmly keep stand in place and one cymbal stand and the snare stand have "stripped" and the turnkey/screw doesn't even reach the metal. For the time being I have placed rubber or cardboard so the screw has something to contact but be advised you will need to purchase good stands within a few months

    Bought this kit for my son as a christmas present. For the price it is absolutely worth it. The only bad part was some of the hardware for the toms vibrated off. I just had to tighten them all
