Behringer

collapse expand iconDescription

The Behringer MicroAMP HA400 is an ultracompact four-channel headphone amplifier that provides flexible audio monitoring for studios and practice spaces. With the HA400, up to four people can listen to the same signal source, like a mixing board or audio interface, while controlling their own headphone volume level. Despite its small size, the HA400 delivers high-fidelity audio through four stereo headphone outputs, each with an independent volume control. It's powered by premium op-amps that minimize noise, even at loud listening levels.

Hear Every Detail With Premium Audio Performance

Each of the four stereo headphone outputs on the HA400 is driven by high-quality 4580 op-amps, providing ultralow noise and distortion for accurate audio monitoring. You'll hear every subtle nuance in your mixes and recordings. Even at high volume levels, the sound remains crystal clear.

Dial in Your Preferred Volume

The HA400 gives each listener independent volume control over their headphone feed. Just plug your headphones into one of the four stereo outputs, each with a dedicated volume knob. Now up to four musicians can monitor the same signal at their preferred loudness. It's perfect for letting a vocalist hear themselves over a live band mix.

Connect Your Gear With Versatile Audio I/O

On the rear panel, the HA400 offers a 1/4" stereo input to connect your mixing board, audio interface, instrument or other source device. It also has a 1/4" stereo output to send the amplified signal to powered monitors or an external amp. The HA400's DC power supply is also included for quick setup anywhere you have an electrical outlet. The HA400 provides flexible monitoring connectivity in a compact and affordable package.

Nice unit

I do some home recording with my band on a digital 8 track recorder. We use the Behringer microamp HA400 to plug headphone units into. The HA 400 has great control and has really good clarity. I would recommend this unit to any bands doing home recording.

Lots of White noise...

I have it plug into my Focusrite audio interface and when I have it plugged into the headphone amp it creates a lot of white noise especially when I turn it up the volume. I gave it three stars cause it does what I need it to do but other than that I would recommend spending a little more money and getting a decent headphone amp.

Use it to watch TV programs without bothering anyone else, and to balance our headphone volumes.

I have 4 monitor lines going to my studio from the control room. These allow 4 people to listen to any of the four monitor mixes I could have running. Extra long power cords would be a big plus, but it's easy to come up with a workaround.

I bought this to use for when I need additional headphones in my recording studio. It's great that I can have four loud outputs from a single input, and everyone has their own volume control. I just wish the cord was a little longer for ease of use, but I have an extension cord.

  • For home recording this has worked great.

This has worked great for my needs which is a once somewhat experienced analog recorder who took time off and is now learning the digital age at home with my own DAW setup. I have stated I am a digital "recorder" because I do not want to smear the term "engineer" because I still have a lot to learn and am not formally educated in the field.

  • Great little piece of gear for the money.

Use this little gadget in my home studio. It does as advertised very well, specially for the low price. The fact that it uses AC power means no loss of sound on each of the four attached headphones.

Does this connect into an audio interface? I need the extra headphone outputs and this looks perfect; however, I'm not sure if it would work hand in hand with it.

This will work. You would connect this with the headphone output of your audio interface.
